It is no wonder they were overplayed in some peoples (not mine) minds. With this many hits,how could they not be on the radio so often ?  Here is the setlist from the show I saw on Saturday Oct. 11, 2003 in Pittsburgh PA: THE LONG RUN, NEW KID IN TOWN, WASTED TIME, PEACEFUL EASY FEELING, HOLE IN THE WORLD, LOVE WILL KEEP US ALIVE, THE BOYS OF SUMMER, TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT, ALREADY GONE, ONE OF THESE NIGHTS, JAMES DEAN, LYIN' EYES, I CANT TELL YOU WHY, WALK AWAY, TEQUILA SUNRISE, SUNSET GRILL, TURN TO STONE, YOU BELONG TO THE CITY, LIFES BEEN GOOD, DIRTY LAUNDRY, FUNK 49, HEARTACHE TONIGHT, LIFE IN THE FAST LANE, HOTEL CALIFORNIA, ROCKY MOUNTAIN WAY, ALL SHE WANTS TO DO IS DANCE, TAKE IT EASY, DESPERADO.    Thats 29 songs.  Granted there are some solo tunes from each member in there, but I can think of at least twice as many radio airplayed EAGLES songs that arent in there.

Yes Patty...Funk 49 was in there too with a very 70's hippy trippy back drop.....swirly patterns and funky colours. Darrflo, I agree....I was wishing and hoping for Rocky Mountain Way but it wasn't on the list....it was still a great gig. I know the Eagles aren't everyones choice but they were a part of mine and my wife's life when we were wearing flared jeans, tie-dye T-shirts and Indian cheese-cloth shirts....the first time around!. Seems an age ago.....I guess it was, we must be getting old .....but we still wear the same kind of clothes....is that good or bad?? I don't care.....we had a wonderful time reliving our youth....ha!, we do that every day, it keeps us young at heart.

Patty, I was talking to one of the guys who plays in the same band as me and we found out we were both at the same all-day-gig in London in the mid 70's ( we've known each other since the mid '90's).....Bad Company, Nazareth, Ronnie Lane's Slim Chance, Be Bop Deluxe and a few others were on the bill. He remembers seeing me in my patchwork denim flares with sewn-on peace signs...I wish I still had 'em....probably wouldn't fit although I'm still as skinny as ever P***es off my wife that she has to diet and I wish I did

Hey gsj and anyone that works in a music store may appreciate this story.

Yesterday, my hubby Anthony was at Sam Ash Music Store in Cherry Hill, NJ talking to his regular salesperson and conversation led to the Eagles concert and Joe Walsh stopping in the store and spending about $5000 during the bands stop in the Philly/Atlantic City nights. (they are about 1 hour from each other and the Eagles had a few days off between shows with family members in the area etc.)  He bought a paisley Fender strat, apparently like the one that was in the window (will get more details on the gear) and Joe called the salesman the next day for info on some spring adjustments, so the salesman thought this is great, Joe calling me, maybe he'll buy more stuff from me...he had told Joe this and of course given him his card.  (Joe sent a guy back with the guitar for the spring thingy adjustment...) Come to find out, that same next day, Joe went to the Guitar Center 3 doors down and spent another $5000 there.  Yeah, the salesman was a little crushed, but Joe Walsh was just spreading the wealth around and maybe looking for some fan appreciation...;)

Some of the questions Anthony asked,  did lots of customers in the store approach Joe Walsh, geez, I feel old and depressed, notta, no one...that time of day and maybe with a recession going on, not too many customers and probably the baby boomers like me were at work and the youngins' in the store I think were clueless who Joe was!!!  The salesman didn't even think to get a picture and in hindsight said, they get bothered all the time, I wouldn't have asked and there was no manager on duty at the time.
