Re: Blues of Desperation reviews

It has made good driving music on my drives home from Joe's shows the last two night.  Drive speaks to my soul for some reason (I love driving long distances - especially at night).  The title track is also amazing - especially after seeing it live - love what Michael does with the bass for this.

One comment - if Joe ever wants to make a video about one of his train songs that features real steam engines I think I could hook him up for that.

yeah Rocket and I know you favor the to-be-released-next ones too smile

I am declaring Blues of Desperation my current favorite Joe Bonamassa album. Really enjoying to the whole thing, I feel i dunno more connected to Joe and myself and life and blues and stuff through some really great music and mind blowing lyrics.

and oh yeah welcome to the forum Anymouse73. How about the backup singers in How Deep this River Runs??? OMG

Had the SiriusXM radio going today ...

BB King's Bluesville had Joe's You Left Me Nothin' But The Bill And The Blues as #1 in this week's Rack of Blues (their weekly "Picks To Click" -- the newest Blues platters from number 15 to number 1.)

Even aired Joe's sign off at the end ... take that Howard Stern!!

Congrats Joe & Co.

That solo is up there at the top of the list.Still Pain and Sorrows solo holds a place in my heart at número uno.
There are quite a few smokin solos(being back the smokin joe moniker!)on this album.

Late to the party - sorry....

Anyway, not keen on Mountain Climbing nor title track but love This Train & Drive and like the very BB King What I've Known. Sometimes, less is more.....

Still, best album certainly since John Henry.....

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet; reads the same backwards.
