This is so fun!  Wow, look at those enormous pedal boards.

How'd ya like to be standing in the audience 2 feet away from Joe NOW?

Funny (possible inside Joe Kah! wink) how not one of the songs on the venue poster was performed at the show!

I just found the show poster too and it also states the 27th. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid … mp;theater

I see you did not insert the 2005 Turning Stone show.  I am fairly confident it had to be that date.  But I'll call on =o|-[ (John from Caz, Cazenovia, NY, local Bonamassa territiory and loooooooooooooooooooooooong time Joe B fan!) to see if he can verify as he was surely there (we hadn't "met" yet) because I did not/do not have a ticket stub to save.

Oh yeah, may as well point out that this amazing run of the trio at their peak (best & worst) in the US of A had immediately followed the taping of "Live At Rockpalast", 6/28/05 Mechernich Germany.  THINK about it!!!  Logisitically, let alone physically or psychologically or financially.

Ah yes Rocket, a great day in Rochester and many super memories (or fuzzy ones at best) of the 2005 shows. I dug this item out of the archives and is pictured in my avatar.

Good pick up!!!  (Didn't think to compare the two.)  You say your hard drive may have some issues...but your processor is firing on all 8!!!

Thanks to LarryG for posting.  An '06 class reunion may be forming on the History topic today. Cool to see. smile

As a relative newbie, I was interested in seeing the RAH entry on 7/8/11.  What event was that?

I was under the mistaken impression Joe was only there in '09 and then his latest gig there.  Were there more in between?

Looks like he snuck in there during a short tour swing running through Germany with BCC.

Here it is - absolutely nothing to do with BCC.  Video by Maggie (friend and fellow forum member) who was in the nose bleed section (very expensive charity gig).  I believe Pete may have been there as well.  Gig for the Sunflower Charity.  Joe was playing with the late, great Jon Lord.

thank u sally for the additional info.  I will add Maggie's link to the date.

(I mentioned BBC because they were touring Germany during this time frame...july 8 '11 was one of the open dates between shows, so Joe headed to the Hall.) smile

Re: On this day in JULY Bonahistory

Joe's very first shows in Ireland

July 8th 2008 - The Village, Dublin, Ireland
July 9th 2008 - Spring & Airbrake, Belfast, Northern Ireland

Here's my best one of the night, The Heavy Rock version of "Don't Burn Down That Bridge"
the days when i used a proper video camera rather than these new ones everyone has now.
the fun using them omg, getting right down the front at bars, pubs n clubs when Joe came to the UK in the 2005 - 2008 era, those were the days up front and not much baffle lol
and then back to upload in hotel on slow 2008 internet lol

Re: On this day in JULY Bonahistory

I love that you are doing this.  The only bad part?  I keep seeing shows that were not that far away from me that I either didn't know about at the time (we're talking about pre-2006) or were before I knew who Joe was.

Thank you for keeping up with this.

Re: On this day in JULY Bonahistory

It's so much fun to just soak in the Joe B. history, like a therapeutic hot tub.

Thanks to all those who are providing me with mental health therapy, even as you don't know that's what you're all doing.  Fun to see things where I can say, "Yep, I was there", or at least aware.  Nice to be able to share our "collective" JB histories.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

To the rescue once again. Thank you. smile

I was on the club's site.  Missed the flyer...but saw the photos from 2003... yikes

I'll add the link for the flyer.  The photos?.....I better not....this is a G rated Forum, no? big_smile

Re: On this day in JULY Bonahistory

We are coming up to an anniversary tomorrow of Joe returning to Tulsa in 2006 to The Venue. Not a very clever name but it rocked with 400 in attendance not bad considering the last time he had been in Tulsa there were about 20.

An interview before the show with my friend Bill Martin from the Blues Society of Tulsa who has always supported Joe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-0MHSCspzA The date of the video is wrong it is from 2006

Re: On this day in JULY Bonahistory

Thanks jim m for the video heads up!! (also thanks for posting to Bonahistory...always great to see the '06ers chime in.)

I would have probably never noticed it with a YTube search...and connect it to the '06 Tulsa date I had no less  A great capture in time! Great early, relaxed interview. Joe sitting with an SG...and playing a Lucille during the show! smile

Thanks so much...will add the video link to the date tomorrow. RCB

Hi RoadcaseBoy

One to add for you: 31 July 2007 at Mr Kyps, Poole.  Joe was already booked to appear here on Friday 3 August as part of the Sloe Gin tour and stepped into the breach when Kyps got a last-minute cancellation only a few days beforehand.  Talk about a hastily scheduled gig!  But needless to say it sold out all the same.  We were so lucky to have Joe grace my hometown twice in one week.

Also, last Saturday the 27th was the Blues Masters at The Mint in Los Angeles. A late July entry and the latest gig.
