Please see post #46 for current list...
I thought yesterday I had you stumped but I was remembering the date wrong. Its a July 2 date so I'm betting you got it.
Fun show. Most of my Joe shows have been Fall and Spring. This was one of the summer ones .
Good memories from this list but they are just a tiny sample compared to all thiese dates. It puts it in perspective, wow how does he do it
oh yeah that is the show! what a set. so heavy. strange show. alot of good and a bit of pita. amazing performance in this small place out of my element so to speak.
Joe was selling some Bloodline shirts his Mom had found in the attic. That was a sweet score for a budding Bonamassa collector. Then I asked Joe about the Mountain Time live lyrics that were hard to decipher. he told me its like a bread pudding recipe, never exactly the same twice, or something like that. to this day when I smell cinnamon i think of Mountain Time Live, yeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. anyway THEN as I start to walk away he starts singing it to me! but I didn't realize it then when I di he stopped and I am like OMG I can't believe I just missed that and he LOL'd and then wouldn't sing it again. it was a year or more later when he signed my shirt with what they actually are.
had alot of fun although it was hard to see. i wish i had realized that by making dinner reservations you secured your seat at a table near the stage. otherwise....it was a little hard to see but everyone could hear it just fine
Jane H: "oh yeah that is the show!" (7/2/04 - Philly - North by Northwest)
What a story!! I'd take that story over good seats any day!!
Now a "Jane H" / cinnamon / MT Live connection will be in my brain.
Thanks for posting!! I'm sure you still have the shirt.
PS: Phew...got your July date...and it's only the 2nd of the month. Can coast to the 31st now.
Hope no one minds me reminiscing here about these past shows.
here's a few pics from the 7-7-2005 Blues Alley show.

I went a short little get away with my young son and my parents. we did some sight seeing in DC and Alexandria. My Dad went to the show with me while Mom and kid hung out at hotel.
we had tickets to the early and the late shows but it was a bit too intense for my Dad so we passed on our late show tix. He enjoyed it of course but when I gave him the option to pass on set two he took me up on it. he has hearing issues etc.
anyway he wore my HTCT tshirt which was cool. he hardly ever wears t-shirts and of course I packed a few cause I am always up to the last minute with my choice. I liked Joe shirt, which brought back memories of a trip to England my Dad had saved years to take us to (apparently I really enjoyed Victoria station - Joe's shirt I think was from Waterloo station). It was the same day as London bus bombings so it was a somber vibe sort of day and a lot of heavy armed security throughout DC

I love your stories Jane, thanks for sharing them as well as your photos. You've seen some pretty amazing stuff!
Are you sure of the year, Jane? I am trying to recall the July 2005 tour itinerary, and something is confusing the easily confusing guy...
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
yeah. plus Roadcase found that date on his own.
ai couldn't tell you much else about the tour that summer but I do know it was not uncommon for them to zigzag across the country to fit gigs in
Joe returned to Blues Alley November of 06 for 4 nights in a row of double sets

I KNOW I attended 4 Joe Bonamassa shows in a matter of daze in early July 2005...
The sequence was The Mayor's Cup appearance July 4th at the waterfront, Plattsburg, NY; Oneida Indian Nation Turning Stone Casino surrround central New York State; (then came the Rochester, NY gig I skipped and our Presiding Street Team heroes,Ta-Da!) then I attended Joe's appearance at The Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest 2005 at Canada's Capital City; then on to a little late arrival at the Cleveland, MoJoeHio Beachland Ballroom show.
I have no recollection of a memory time-stamp for those bus bombings, although I know I learned of at some later (not a lot) date. I know it was a very busy time for me, which made for a sublime Heckuva break away from work (to do personal work) Joe Bonamassa Road Trip hot fun in the summertime adventure.
Gotta correlate the dates...
Rock ON & Keep Faith,
Rocket
maybe storytelling in chat tonight...
Man that was one wickedly busy early July 2005 for the Joe Bonamassa Band!!! Talk about zig-zagging! I remember the Iowa(7-1)-Colorado(7-2)-Plattsburg, New York(7-4)-Philly(7-6)-D.C.(7-7)-Jersey(7-8)-Rochester, New York(7-9-05)-Ottawa, Canada Bluesfest (7-10-05)-Turning Stone by Verona, New York (7-27-05)-then further west onto MoJoeHio swing (Cleveland first on 7-28-05, I believe?!) now!!! Man, were they ever utterly busy!
Thanks for clarifying for me, Jane ( ) repeat:
This was from the fantastic 4th of July in Plattsburg:

This was from the Ottawa Bluesfest (my tape drive motor crapped out so it is not reloaded yet (maybe I have a raw disc stashed somewhere and I forgot where if so, and also, after 8 years, I don't recall if the playing with the camera features was during filming or post...jeez I hope post...you'd think I was on acid! Nope, I wasn't under the influence of anything but music, whatever the case, either way...: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzX3aOWbMec

Rocket...thanks for the July 4 '05 Plattsburg NY link. Great clip! I added the link to the History. Glad you confirmed tomorrow's Ottawa date for me...I hadn't search YouTube yet, which I try to do to confirm / find some dates. I'll add your Ottawa link too. You were right on top of them!!
I still have my mini dvd of that, Rocket. i seriously doubted that thing would play because i had never seen one before.
"Back in the day," getting up front to the barricade or stage front to see Joe Bonamassa was much much easier than most people could say his name...
I see you did not insert the 2005 Turning Stone show. I am fairly confident it had to be that date. But I'll call on =o|-[ (John from Caz, Cazenovia, NY, local Bonamassa territiory and loooooooooooooooooooooooong time Joe B fan!) to see if he can verify as he was surely there (we hadn't "met" yet) because I did not/do not have a ticket stub to save.
Oh yeah, may as well point out that this amazing run of the trio at their peak (best & worst) in the US of A had immediately followed the taping of "Live At Rockpalast", 6/28/05 Mechernich Germany. THINK about it!!! Logisitically, let alone physically or psychologically or financially.
And, since all this history stuff has me waxing and soldering nostalgic......:

You hit the nail on the head with the travel point...was thinking the same as I see these show date / places come together.
I've been burning up the Rockpalast DVD audio on the iPod since "rediscovering it" back on the anniversary date week ago. Nothing short of excellent!!
Last...gonna ruin the suspense for the legions of Bonahistory followers out there ....I have Turning Stone down as 7/27/05.
Let me know if that is correct.
All the best...

"according to the cyber alien it was the 27th", yes, but if you used his posted list, the list does have one mistake. He forgot the February 28, 2005, Rome, New York's Officially declared "Joe Bonamassa Day" gig. I set him straight on that one, while he set me straight on December 9, 2000 Armory High, Syracuse, New York Original Band "A New Day Yesterday Live 1" tour. I had thought it was around the end of November the Thanksgiving weekend or something but was incorrect (confusion of relocating).
I still think it was the 5th
well I sure wish David from Rome was still around, he would maybe have a ticket stub. mumblewheretheheckrudavid?mumble
do you believe Kenny K.? http://www.kennykramme.com/Ontheroad2004-5.html
