As far as allergies, many guitar strings have nickel in them. My son that has a peanut allergy, also is allergic to nickel, which was discovered when he had a chronic rash from his belt buckle. So, I sympathize with you. 
Possibly, you could get earrings made with high quality posts and secure non-nickel strings from one of your guitarist connections to have something made, BUT if you are super sensitive, its a risky purchase for yourself.
Lesser known artists are welcome, especially if they are going to spread the word to their followers, who in turn will purchase jewelry.

Are you going to the Joe show in Philly in November? I have 2 tickets maybe, that someone has not paid for yet, row A center. They still have first rights if they want them, so they aren't definitely up for grabs yet.
