Topic: What about Telecaster greats?
I tried to slide this in with Spider's thought provoking post about great Strat players and got no nibbles.. so I thought it deserved it's own thread. I've really become interested in Clarence White's influence over modern Telecaster players. I recently got an album, released last year of the Byrd's Royal Albert Hall concert in 1971. Apparently Roger McGuinn had the tapes sitting in his garage for over thirty years. Unbelieveable considering the quality of the recording and the playing of Clarence White. There's an eighteen minute version of Eight Miles High that's incredible, but the whole album's great. I highly recommend this album.
