Jane, I'm with you on that.. even though I moved to Massachusetts from Maryland right before the Ravens first season in 96', I am a die hard Ravens fan (and an old BALTIMORE Colt fan).  I think they have what it takes to go all the way!  And how about that Ed Reed!  And what about Joe "We're All Wacko For" Flacco!  GO RAVENS!!

I'm witya Doc, Norv is a good guy and hails from Martinez, Ca. cross the riv-vah from me. I've known his older brother Richard for many years and he introduced me to Norv back when he was with the 'Skins. I was hopin' the Bolts wouldn't make the playoffs and Norv might have been available to come back to SF as offensive co-ordinator, he was the only one that Alex Smith responded to. Norv's other brother Ron is with the Da Bears.

Re: Vindication for a DOLFAN

Cathy and I followed the Dolphins and Titans games on the pc, the picture quality was excellent.

Since 'my' Skins blew their good season start in the second half of the season (probably due to not enough chili at crucial moments), and since my 'other' team, the Colts, flattered only to deceive, I have quite logically now wound up supporting the Ravens. big_smile

I haven't a clue who's gonna win the SB - what a bizarre post season it's been!

well it seems like my strategy may have worked. i decided to hold the chili until it was needed more which will be this week.
after watching a bad first half of the Ravens/titans game i realized my previous avatar d fence had titan colors so at halftime i quickly switched to an unmistakeable Ravens one, thank goodness..

Steelers are going to be eating alot of crow Sunday.....

Jane, I sure hope you are right.... and I hope T-Sizzle can play on Sunday.  We definitely need him.  I'm not superstitious, but I have been following the same routines, and wearing the same Ravens sweatshirt on game day of this current winning streak.  Whatever helps... Go Ravens!

Re: Vindication for a DOLFAN

Anyone else brave or foolish enough to make some predictions for tomorrow?

I'm not pretending to know or understand anything (:D), but since I can't believe in an all Pennsylvania Super Bowl, I'll take the Ravens to meet the Eagles there. Naturally, I'm totally committed to the Ravens now. cool

Well it kinda depends on who's wearing cleats and who's wearing their ballet slippers & tutus.  I don't se the Raven's D giving up much...I just don't know G...I just don't know.

Re: Vindication for a DOLFAN

I'd like to see the Cards win it all just because they're the Cubs of the NFL. As a die hard Cleveland fan I'd rather see Pittsburgh win than Modell's team, not just anyday.............everyday. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against the good people of Baltimore just the schmuck owner of their football team. If anybody can understand where I'm comin' from it would be the football fans of Baltimore, any of you have a little contempt for the Irsay's??????

                                                                                          Remember The Colts?????????

As a Baltimore fan who lived there most of his life, I do understand where you are coming from.  I will always hate anyone named Irsay, and I will always root for Indy to lose.  A couple of points from a Baltimore perspective though.  First, we were passed up on expansion by Tagliabeau in favor of Carolina and Jacksonville - even though Baltimore had the better package on the table.  Tagliabeau told the good city of Baltimore that they should concentrate their efforts on building museums and libraries instead.  Baltimore helped put the NFL on the map (58 championship game), but that did not seem to matter to the commish.  Second, Irsay snuck the team out in the middle of the night during a snowstorm.  Third, Cleveland did get to keep their team name, colors and historical records for their expansion team; Baltimore did not.  So while both of our cities lost our teams undeservedly, I think that the circumstances are quite a bit different. No slap at all against the great fans of Cleveland... just my humble opinion.

Though tonight's game will be very difficult to win, I will end this by saying, Go Ravens!

Re: Vindication for a DOLFAN

I hear ya Mike, both ugly situations for the loyal fans of both cities. Modell's franchise wasn't the first team to bail on Cleveland, the Rams made it there home from 1936 to 1945 when they left for LA. Keeping the name, colors, & history of the Browns was a condition mandated by the NFL to allow Modell to move since the franchise didn't fit the hardship criterea to allow a move, a first in the ever changing scenery of the league. Good luck to your team today.
