It's not that Clapton is bad Deezer, he's just really mediocre these days. He's like the Nickelback of blues. Not bad, not great, just there. And I much prefer listening to the insane and inspired, apparently. Which at times go hand in hand, but bad fashion calls the whole thing off.

No his problem is those slippers in that video.;) As for me, I don't have to listen to it, as there's a whole wide world of better music out there than to settle for mediocrity. Some people just have higher standards is all.

It could be...if that were the case. But, it's not. Clapton or not, my reputaton is secure.   But I do know this. I've been listening to Clapton for over 40 years now, and he NEVER worked a crowd like this. And...without slippers even! :

Not exactly - as much as I'd love to have a cane as it would be a really cool accessory...I was playing Cream songs by the age of 6, after beginning to play at the age of 4. But if that makes me elderly, I'm thinking you may have some problems with a lot of people on this board. So choose your words carefully.

As for the YouTube thing...we could, but it wouldn't change the fact that EC is fashion challenged these days.

Green is not insane, you insist on us giving respect for Clapton, yet give none for the others. He recorded albums in the early 1980s and toured with the Splinter Group for over 8 years until recently so he'd need sanity to do that. Gallagher's death was due to a hospital infection after a liver transplant, it's hardly a basis to suggest one player was better than the other. One thing little known about Gallagher was that he formed a power trio before Cream, back in 1965 - Taste.
Arguments based on ignorance will always be flawed.

McCartney has to be one of the most annoying peeps ever alongside Ringo's huge ego, the only 2 Beatles I ever cared for was Lennon and Harrison....

As far as I know Picasso was over 90 when he died. He was showing us  that you can still be creative in your old age - the same for a lot of old blues artists. On the other side there is this archetype of the young artist who is burning high and dies young.....James Dean, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix etc.

Oh man, I'm not even going to touch this one. Actually, I wasn't that big of a Beatles fan back then, I guess the Stones appealed to me much more. But I will say this; John is a Legend because he was shot to death on a New York City street. Paul is still entertaining people and as someone else once mentioned on this forum, everyone that's a Legend is dead already.

P.S. Paul released horrible ones? Just think about some of the "music" John made with Yoko singing. That is if you call that singing; sounds more like nails on a chalkboard.
