My favorite bit of British parliament-speak is when one MP wants to call another MP a liar, something which is absolutely forbidden, so they've developed the following wonderful phrase:
"The learned gentleman is being economical with the truth."
That's a new one to me. I'm going to have to remember that. Thanks for the enlightenment!
