Les Paul, hands down no contest.
Unless I want some awesome controlled feedback, then the V is the guitar.
But the Les Paul is really the only guitar. I wouldn't sell my '78 goldtop for $10,000. Not a chance!

Never really looked into heritage guitars, are they connected to gibson somehow?
I've played one, and heard rumours bout em, but dont know much about their background.

From a previous very LARGE thread....you all KNOW what MY answer will be! I prefer Fenders......particularly the ever versatile HSS format. Further specifying.....I LOVE the HIGHWAY ONE series of HSS formatted guitars. I own 5 of them at this point and am working on my 6th!!

And as I mentioned in that very same LARGE thread.........it saddened me to hear about Joe's argument/battle with the Fender guitar company. I LOVED how Joe used to strangle such amazing sounds out of a Strat. (particularly his violin technique) Let's face it....Joe could play a Carlo Robelli piece of crap and STILL blow us away!!
But...hey ....THEY were being such petty pricks towards such an immense talent like Joe! Corporate asswipes!!!!
At least Gibson gave Joe his due and honored him with a signature model...........GO JOE!!

If I had to pick one it would be my ES-335. I love that guitar. I have a 1970 LP custom, a couple of strats and a PRS. But, the 335 is my favorite
Hmmm, my SRV Strat for tone and my Ibanez JS 1200 for playability...Favourite all around guitar would be the JS 1200 though. Tone for days, plays like butter, and the coil tap and high pass filter add a lot of versatility to this fine axe...
At this moment my favourite is my Fender Stratocaster Plus from 1991. Does a good job playing the blues, and I like the maple neck 
Traded my MIJ 62 reissue for a 1995 Burgundy mist US Strat absolutly gorgeous plays sweet too the neck has just enough wear on it feels like a old pair of boots

Heritage is the company formed by former Gibson employees who decided not to move to Nashville when Gibson left Kalamazoo. They are built in the old Gibson building too.

My favorite guitar that I own is my Peavey USA Limited HB. Its a strat style body with dual humbuckers that can be split. These came out around the same time as the Wolfgangs. Very under rated guitars.
I recently purchased a new Taylor acoustic/electric and the sound out of that guitar, even when not pugged in, is something to behold. This is it:

For feel, I still like my Fender Telecaster in my hands, but I'm getting more used to my Epiphone Custom LP. Going to take that one to my lesson tonight and I'm sure my instructor will want to play around with it a little too.

That looks like my guitar's big brother. Is it a 414? Mine plays like a dream, as I'm sure yours does, but I have no electronics.

By the way, I recently bought a Marshall 1974x. I can tell you its one
of the best amps I ever played. It works fantastic on the volume pot
and screams great with a tubescreamer for lead stuff.

I purchased it at Dave's Guitar Shop in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Someday, if you and Susan are up in this neck of the woods, you must go to this store. Heck, I'll drive you there although it is 210 miles from my home, nice drive though. Here's the store's website and some info:

Yes, I really was acting like a tourist, but I just had to take some pictures. In addition to my guitar, I bought my son Ben this Squire Strat, but SSSSHHHHH, it's for Christmas:

And get this....I bought Ben and I a T-shirt from Dave's. A couple of weeks later I decided that I'd like to order a few for a couple of friends as presents. You know, guys who are really into music. So I sent an E-mail to the store telling them I'd like to purchase three T-shirts plus pay for the shipping. A woman representing the store wrote me back the same day and said they would be happy to do this for me, but she said I won't be paying for the shirts. Now, they had already thrown in one shirt when I bought the guitars. So she told me she would send these out with a couple of other items. Three days later I got three men's T-shirts and three ladies' night shirts inluding postage for nothing. I almost fell over!! Can you believe that there is still a store that treats there customers like that nowadays? All I could say to them was a Big Thank You.
Oh, and gingerpaul, those are both very nice lookig guitars!

P.S. Darn, the links only take you to that page. I was able to see what it looks like and it looks like Rory's original guitar with very little paint left on it. It was easy to find, I just used the "Find on this page" on my browser and then typed in "Rory" and hit "Find".
