Nice little medley you threw together this morning! The only point of his career that I wasn't fanatic about was his Power Station daze, but even then, in the midst of some Hollywood producer's mindless coked-out vision of what a music video should be, Robert looked and sounded great.....despite his surroundings.....
I was hooked the first time I heard Sneakin' Sally, and it still remains in the top ten of my favorite tunes. I have a version around here somewhere of him doin' it with Lowell George on slide.....that one is sweet as sin.....
But I also always admired him as a man. In a time when t-shirts and jeans were the accepted fashion for performing, he respected his audiences enough to dress like a million bucks on stage.....very classy.....
And it never hurts to cover Little Feat.....
