Power trio rock at its finest...why are these guys not in the RRHOF? Amazing when you think these guys weren't even 21 when this was filmed.

There is anothe GFR fan on the forum that has been know to testify when their name is mentioned. I saw them in 69 when I was in 6th grade. Went on to see them a few more times before they went a little more pop with We're an American Band.

Mark Farner looking back wasn't the greatest guitar player but they were a show. They are why I have a soft spot in my heart for power trio's to this day.

When I first saw Joe, Kenny and Eric they reminded me of those times. When you went to the local Civic auditorium and for a few minutes the youth took over the the Philharmonic's home turf. Where you stood on your chair till the ushers would come make you sit down and behave. Where you would rush the stage and overwhelm them with numbers.

Can I get an amen Stu?

As I grew up they moved in a different direction than me I rarely listen to there old stuff it sounds differently now than I remember. Seeing that video reminded me what it was like again. Thanks Keith.

You went to a rock concert when you were in 6th grade?? That's an early start, for sure! Who took you, parents or older siblings? I was either 14 or 15 for my first show, the Stones in Vienna.

But right now, lordy mama, have mercy, I'm heavily into the Rev. Billy G and 'I'm a fool for your stockings' cool

It was my mother. She took me to several shows before I left grammer school. Led Zepplen was also one I saw that year too. She drew the line at Hendrix Band of Gypsies in Norman 35 miles away on a school night.

On the topic of what I'm listening to now though smile I saw Heart, Journey with Cheap Trick on Wednesday. I have been dipping back into the catalog of Heart. Dreamboat Annie. I heard there was a DVD available of the new band performing the album in its entirety that was filmed for HDTV. Those Girls can still rock.

Tesla playing a cover of UFO's "Rock Bottom" live at Piere's in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, March 1st 2008, the same venue most of you know as being where Joe filmed 'A New Day Yesterday Live'

This song is also featured on Tesla's brand new DVD, 'Comin' Atcha Live 2008', filmed a little under three weeks earlier at Myth in N. St Paul, Minnesota, and is definitely recommended.

Now...where's that video of Joe ripping it up to this song with UFO? wink

Title track from Luke's new album, which is highly recommended if you're looking for a quality rock album with fantastic guitar that's not metal.

Sevar Morgon Gry by Kaipa - one of the best European progressive rock bands ever. This song was recorded in mid-70s and it's a real masterpiece of progressive music.
