Lots of Bonabuddies meet up at gigs and some travel HUGE distances to see Joe and the band - They are a fresh look at the Blues and Joes shows are evolving all the time. Joe was saying last night in Liverpool that his slot at Cornbury was the only one when it wasn't raining - how good is that? Hope you had a good day despite the weather.
You don't say where you're from - you should note the area just in case there are other forum members in your area you could hook up with to get to gigs. Just don't hook up with Michael Lynch, it'll cost you a fortune - he's seen Joe over 50 times, in the UK, Europe and the States on "road trips", meeting up with forum buddies all over the world!
Your on a trip of a lifetime with Joe - Enjoy!
Thanks for the welcome. Yes Joe was right, his was the only slot that didn't involve those pesky umbrellas:-) As it happens, as I said, we only went to see him anyway, but to have the sun shining at the same time was a bonus! We left after his set and got to the car just before the heavens opened once again.
I'm in East Anglia which unfortunately usually means we have to go to London for gigs which is a pain in the arse, to be honest. Originally I'm from the North West so was used to much more choice for gigs, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, etc. loads of places possible because of the motorway network, which is something that 'sleepy' Suffolk doesn't have!
