I put Chris on my list of under-appreciated guitarists. Phenomenal player! One of the purist tones I've ever heard.

wow what a tone! is that bb king singing? i honestly can't tell the difference. he is really feeling it on that solo. great stuff. will look into him further when i have money to spend.
I saw Chris a couple years back at a local blues club. I didn't know him at the time, but REALLY enjoyed the show. Here's my post show post:

Hi Jeff, yes I like Mr Cain. Is there any word on a new album yet? It's been 7 years!
I don't know Duncan. I don't know how he even makes a living; maybe guesting or studio work. He doesn't do a lot of touring...and I don't know anyone who does know. 
He's unique in his field. I've seen him make a hard rock crowd go Wow and start grooving to a different genre when he starts up his blues.
Hope he's OK

Chris Cain is from San Jose, CA. and may be living in the Santa Cruz area. Serious Blues and guitar / vocals.
Check out one of his songs called "Her middle name is Trouble"!
Chris Cain is one my primary traditional blues influences.. He is one of the best kept secrets in the Blues.. I hate that term too.. He should be going mental at the moment. He is so slick and tasteful its totally ace. Check him out.. I have everyone one of his albums.

Unscheduled Flight, from 1997, is a fantastic album that oozes class - Cain is clearly a guitarists guitarist, as many other great players rate him highly..................
