The Les Paul Standard 1977-current kit is the one I used.
They're an excellent prospect for anyone who likes to use the volume and tone controls of a LP to manipulate their sound rather than just pedal. Jimmy Page was a master at this, as is Joe of course.
The problem is the stock electronics in LP's aren't always, ahem, very good. The RS kit allows a smooth tapering off in both vol and tone, and retains clarity even at low volumes. we've all had experiences with tone controls for example that have little effect from 10-6, then suddenly become compeltely muffled below that. An upgrade kit for reliable and predictable pot response is a godsend for overcoming that problem.
