'Coachella' took place about one mile from my house - literally (if you'll remember from my thread of a few days ago.)

Okay, well THIS is just TOO freaky! First, let me say that I do not have the pig, nor have I seen the pig, nor have I heard any rumors of the pig's current condition or of its whereabouts.
I NEVER listen to the local news - nor do I subscribe to any local papers - and so, were it not for Keith's report and, of course, this Forum, I might never have heard about this. Well, not that is, until I spoke with my friends and neighbors, anyway.
I should tell you that I have NEVER attended this festival, for a couple of reasons:
1. It's always HOT (100 F + degrees)
2. It's crazy crowded (50,000+ w/ MANY of them under 20)
3. It's expensive
4. The lineup, in the past, has not been to my liking
That being said, this year's lineup was more appealing to me. As a matter of fact, I was feeling pretty melancholy over the fact that I had missed an opportunity to see Jack Johnson one day, Prince another (nearly a 2-hour set, according to some kids), and, on Sunday, Roger Waters. As a matter of fact, I was feeling so forlorn yesterday, that I spent many minutes throughout the day, listening to 'Wish You Were Here' - my favorite Pink Floyd song, over and over again. It's nice..... here, enjoy:

Last week, my friend Vicki (yes, the same one from the BDS Viper Room Saga), told me that her 17-year old would once again be attending the festival, and that she was arming her with my phone numbers, 'just in case'. Well, of course, Vicki called me last night, from San Diego, asking if I could PLEASE run up the street to pick up her daughter who was feeling ill. Her daughter's friends did NOT want to leave until it was OVER. "No problem," I said. "My pleasure!"
So, I drove up there - she didn't know WHERE she was and neither did I, so, I was clever and lucky and parked on a dirt road right at the main entrance. (Dirt because it takes place on our polo fields.) So, imagine me, sitting, watching mobs of kids walking in and out of the festival, on a beautiful, warm desert night - my windows down - I hang up with 'the kid' and lean back to wait - and WHAT song do you think I begin to hear playing - faintly, in the distance ....... that's right....... 'Wish You Were Here'. Well, I'd love to tell you that the acoustics were great, and that I heard every word, until the very last second, but, alas, it was not meant to be. It was my great misfortune, after only a minute or so, to watch about 200 cars drive past me - about 3 hours BEFORE the show closed. And so, for the last part of the song, I was subjected to the sights and sounds of passing vehicles on the bumpy dirt road.....and, of course, each one of those cars had THEIR windows down......and, each one of them was playing a different piece of music than the next, and sadly, Mr. Waters was lost to me then....... but, for just a minute, he wasn't. And I was SO glad to have been there.
And now, I feel some sort of SPECIAL obligation to track down that damn pig. Where do you suppose it went? How high would a two-story pig fly? I need a weather report from last night......it was unusually still, it seems. Straight up - into the heavens? Hmm....when pigs fly.......really, really, REALLY BIG pigs.........where do they go?
My fear is that he's landed in some naive, unsuspecting person's backyard and will become the headliner at one HELL of a pinata party this weekend. It is, after all, nearly Cinco de Mayo.

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-
