I thought Crosby was great on "I'm Alright" !!  I am convinced that he is the ONLY ONE with real " honest to good "talent.   The rest of them...well.....and the judges....well...that's why we have to Rock the Vote for Crosby.  Oh, I forgot the host of the show...well...... Re: Reminder-Rock the Cradle w/ Crosby Loggins-Week 3-Tonight 10 PM ET/PT

For those of you that couldn't stand to watch the entire show last night I'll recap.

Crosby played first thankfully. I should of turned it off then but you know what they say about trainwrecks. You can't take your eyes off of them.

Crosby did I'm  alright from Caddyshack. Changed it up a bit and had much more energy on stage. I know it isn't his style but he did a good job. Something he'll have to keep doing to stay in.

Jesse Snyder seems to be the judges golden boy. Really the only competition for Crosby. The absolute oposite in personality from Crosby.

Olivia Newton Johns daughter.  Can't sing is psychotic but somehow has the judges thinking she is original. I really think they are being nice because to give her scores of one or two my cause her to engage in self mutilation.

I used to think the Laura Johnston could sing but last night she butchered a Doobie song.

Lucy Walsh screamed her way through Life in the Fast Lane. painfully.

Bobby Browns kid was horrendous. Everyweek he gets worse. Same with Al B Shures kid. Makes me wonder if their dads are tone deaf. They actually think their kids can sing.

Don't forget to vote for Crosby he truly is the only one that should win the thing. Even if he doesn't the exposure is good to keep him till the end.

Re: Reminder-Rock the Cradle w/ Crosby Loggins-Week 3-Tonight 10 PM ET/PT

I didn't watch the show, but logged onto the mtv site to watch the performances and vote.  Jesse Blaze Snider is labeled as "This Week's Untouchable Performer" with no "vote" box next to his name.  Is he guaranteed a spot for next week w/ this title?  Is this something like he's won immunity from being voted off the island?

That is correct.

Yes Donna.  The Untouchable is just that, untouchable, for that week's voting.

Here's the link to vote for Crosby:  (Remember, you can vote an unlimited number of times, until Saturday at 9:00 am ET)

I missed the show last night as we were out and about listening to Mr. John Mayall (with Buddy Whittington) and Laurie Morvan.  I just tuned in to the website to watch Crosby's performance and vote (good thing I have all those back up batteries for my wireless mouse!!)  I must admit......this has become my preferred method of viewing the show (deeply edited).  Here's the link to last night's episode, in case you missed it.  Click on the first thumbnail photo at the bottom of the screen (with Jesse's photo) to see Crosby's performance.

I also spotted this clip in which Crosby discusses the "boring" label that he's been given, while sitting on the beach with friends..........I'm happy to see that he is maintaining his sense of humor about the whole thing and is also not stooping to the level of the lesser qualified contestants with predictable pettiness, etc.  Crosby brings the CLASS to the show ........a daunting task........but one he is perfectly capable of handling.  I agree with Jim's comment that he will have to maintain that energy on stage in order to stay in it.  I would love to see him smile more often too.  Melt those voters hearts Crosby!  Have fun!  And, for God's sake, don't EVER turn your back on June!

Crosby's younger brother Cody is sitting to the left of him in the video with his friends.
I'm glad he is not trash talking and just being himself.  He is the most talented on the show.

Keep voting!!!!

Re: Reminder-Rock the Cradle w/ Crosby Loggins-Week 3-Tonight 10 PM ET/PT

Just wanted to give this thread a little bump and remind y'all that MTV's 'Rock the Cradle' will be on again this evening at 10 PM ET/PT.  Crosby Loggins is still very much in the running and needs our support and our votes during this competition.  Please remember that JOE has asked for our support with this venture!  If you choose not to tune in, you can go to MTV's website and look at only the peformances that you DO want to watch.......and you can VOTE without watching too, if you want.  VOTING is UNLIMITED and remains open each week until SATURDAY morning.

THANKS!!!

I also saw the end and can not begin to tell you the glee!! Since he got the highest score...No chance of being voted out this week. I also got a wicked amount of pleasure seeing that Snider snot on the line! hehehe..I know be nice...      Cathy      polyesteredbleachedblondeegomaniacposer...(for BJJ)

Oh.....it's almost like seeing the election results come in while the polls are still open in California!!!  I shouldn't have looked - BUT.....I AM SO glad to hear that, indeed, sanity has prevailed.  And, without adding any further disparaging remarks about that particular littlesnotwhoshallremainnameless, icouldn'tagreemoregrannycathy  smile  L

UNTOUCHABLE!!!!!!!   GO CROSBY!!!!!!!!  Finally the judges are seeing true talent and not a flash in the pan like another unnamed person.   Maybe we will see more electric guitar now.  Great to see Kenny beaming like a proud papa.   Can't believe Chloe is still there.

Congrats Crosby,

Sherry

Re: Reminder-Rock the Cradle w/ Crosby Loggins-Week 3-Tonight 10 PM ET/PT

Well, I couldn't help myself.  And so, even though my friends from the East Coast clued me in .....I just HAD to see WHAT led to tonight's results.  I'm afraid Jim is right....I think it IS that train wreck sort of thing.  So, this is my take......

1.  I'm happy for Crosby.  His performance tonight was great, and the judges scores probably gave him a big boost of confidence.

2.  I'm happy for myself because, now that Crosby is in the UNTOUCHABLE position (for at LEAST a week), my voting finger will have the time required to rest and fully recuperate.

3.  I think the right people went home this week.  But, I am sorry that many of the kids who were asked to participate have clearly been misled (recently by the producers of this show, and perhaps worse, by their loved ones, for a long time).  I think Bobby's kid could have a modeling career.

4.  I worry about Chloe.  I think she is in need of a pair of industrial knee pads - NOW.  At least she varied her wardrobe enough tonight so that she couldn't shrug her shirt half off as she's been trying to do in previous weeks.

5.  I like that little (tiny, isn't she??) Lara Johnston.  She's sweet.  I'm not sure WHAT happens to her voice - where all that pitchiness comes from.  I think there is potential there, but, I'm glad she's got her BRIGHT MIND to fall back on.  I think the brunettes will go home next week and the contest will be down to the trio of Crosby, the Brat, and the Brattette.  (Sorry, just my opinion - I don't much like that cocky and entitled attitude - whether it comes from a boy, or a girl.  I think it's unneccessary and obnoxious.)

6.  I can still see Crosby's nervousness......it surprises me, and, makes me remember why I found him to be so charming.  I believe he really is quite down-to-earth and 'normal', especially  for a kid who grew up under those circumstances.  I'd still like to see him relax, have a little more fun, smile more often, and continue to watch out for June.....she's a cougar, that one!!  smile

I'm not sure that Crosby can take this all the way to the end......it's not that I don't believe he has superior talent, I do.  But, because this show is being watched (for the most part) by the 'normal' MTV viewer, I don't think that includes the people who would usually be a part of Crosby's fan base.  I have every confidence in his ability - it is the wisdom and judgement of the voting audience that I doubt.  I'm afraid, in the end, that flash may indeed win out over talent.  I'd be very happy to be proven wrong.  That doesn't mean I've given up hope, either.  The bottom line is that, worst case scenario, he will be the 'second runner-up' and he will have BROADENED HIS FAN BASE by participating.  "Couldn't hurt....."  -  Wasn't that someone's advice?

Re: Reminder-Rock the Cradle w/ Crosby Loggins-Week 3-Tonight 10 PM ET/PT

I thought Crosby knocked it outta the park last night. I was a little nervous when Lucy performed since she went to what she does best i.e. the piano. Poor Lara, she just hasn't matured her vocal talent yet, but I can't help but root for her since she's a Doobie daughter. Being a Bay Area guy, her dad's band is an all-time favorite of mine.

Agreed, jdawg.  I was glad to see Crosby break out the electric.  I'd like to see some more of that sort of thing from him.

Re: Reminder-Rock the Cradle w/ Crosby Loggins-Week 3-Tonight 10 PM ET/PT

I heard that Crosby was safe so I just got around to watching the show.  Well, I agree that Crosby needs to stay electric.  He had a great performance and I love the Foo Fighters so I hope I hear more of that sort of thing coming from him.  I haven't been a big fan of Lucy Walsh but I agree she did what she does best.  She was  good.  This may sound harsh, but now that the unlistenable talent has been eliminated, it will make it easier to watch this show.  And, I know a lot of you don't like Dee Snyder's kid but I do.  I think he's a really good entertainer.  A chip off the old block, if you will.  And Olivia's kid, I'm not sure what I think of her.  Not a fan of the music. This last performance reminds me of a Courtenay Love wannabe so I wouldn't know how to judge that.  One thing I do know is that I disagree with Belinda Carlile on almost everything.  roll

Anyway, Go Crosby!!!!  big_smile
