Topic: New Gigliotti Website

SO Gigliotti guitars came out with a new designed website.
The photos aren't really updated, but the huge profile of JB is taken off the homepage.

Well, the new site is kind of let down and here is why:
The menu bar has a "marshall head' graphic in the background, and all the knobs/jacks are stretched oval instead of circular.
Also, the photos double up when there is enough space and the repeat image gets cut in half.
Less blues or even rock image....its metal now? There are pictures of teenaged tattooed women with the guitars... But I'm not sure I want the same guitar as Kitty wannabes...does anybody know who those girls are? It doesn't say. Just models maybe? Why take away attention from the guitars?
All the legitimate images on the website are still from the old site...just the amp head layout and added chick pictures is really all I see in the new layout.
And there's less JB presence on there. Is this cause of the Gibson sig coming out and JB using Gig's less exclusively?

So I'm left wondering who designed his new site and how much they were paid. Not that I'm 'knocking' the designers, I'm just in the field. Just because I have some subjective opinions about the site, that doesn't mean I don't want one anymore. Will the cost ever go down? When are they going to bust into mass production like PRS?

Maybe they are competing with Daisy Rock guitars now.  tongue

As long as Patrick doesn't start making heart or butterfly shaped guitars!

I'm glad I got mine when they were $2,700!

If heartaches were nickels, I'd have 35 cents!

Re: New Gigliotti Website

I talked to Patrick Gigliotti this evening. I asked him what happened to his website. To make a long story short. He had issues with the old site. Somebody volunteered to put up a site which is what you see now. He is developing a new site but had to have something in the interum.

He isn't happy with the site as you see it now but is a bit computer challenged and is at the mercy of whoever is maintaining it. A lot of the old pictures from the old site of Joe got lost in the shuffle. He hopes to have the new site up soon. Joe will be again featured prominently as before.
