Topic: Joe's tribute to Rory G
for those of you that are familiar with Phish you know that they used to play a complete album every Halloween. One year they palyed the White Album and many other classic albums. I always thought that was so cool. I would love to see Joe do something like this. If it was up to me I would have him perform Rory Gallagher's Irish Tour from start to finish. I always thought Rory played with more passion then anyone. 7 years ago when I heard JB for the first time he immediatly reminded me of Rory. Not his guitar playing but his passion to make great music with tons of feeling. I love Joe's version of Cradle Rock, I can listen to it all day. I would love to see Joe do a tribute show to him. It would be AMAZING to say the least. Like Joe, there are so many people that have never heard of Rory and it is a shame. He should be a household name like Clapton. Rory refused to sell out, he never like to release singles he believed in making solid albums all Killer no filler. Joe does the same. Both of these guys have a rabid fan base because they make great music and their fans spread the word, not the lame radio stations that call (Wheel in the Sky) a deep cut. Don't get me wrong it is a great song but hardly a deep cut. Back to Joe. Can you imagine Joe doing A million Miles Away into Walk on Hot Coals, Tattoo'd lady and too much Alcohol. Just a dream of mine.
