Re: Laurence Jones
See Laurence's upcoming tour with Glenn Hughes, due to start this week, has been postponed due to Glenn succumbing to health problems (not serious but been advised by doctor to rest).

Laurence's latest album is available to pre-order now, with some tasty, design-your-own package deals - album, Laurence Jones Band will be released Sept 27th.
First single from above; I'm Waiting - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvXNj1l0GEg
From the look of the publicity pics, looks like they've been spending a little too much time with certain 1970's rock icons...
So, their own UK headline tour for Nov/Dec looks like this:-
Nov22 Fri Norwich The Waterfront Studio
Nov23 Sat London Oslo
Nov24 Sun Southampton The 1865
Nov26 Tue Shoreham-by-Sea Ropetackle Arts Centre
Nov30 Sat Newcastle upon Tyne The Cluny
Dec01 Sun Glasgow Òran Mór
Dec03 Tue Sheffield The Greystones
Dec04 Wed Chester The Live Rooms
Dec05 Thu Birmingham Actress And Bishop
Dec07 Sat Leek Foxlowe Arts Centre
Dec08 Sun Nottingham Bodega Nottingham
Dec12 Thu Leeds Lending Room
Dec13 Fri Manchester Night & Day Cafe
That's a bit of a surprise - LJ's Cluny gig on Saturday night (30th Nov) is slated to be down in Cluny2; main room given over to The Specials LTD (tribute band to The Specials), Door time for LJ - 7:30pm
If going along, check the doors just to make sure... mind, I bet Bennett could do a good Jerry Dammers.
See LJ's landed 9 dates in October, opening for Status Quo....
Darlington Forum - July 15th....
Well, there may be a brief lull in the weather, but it was a hot night down at Darlington Forum, Laurence Jones and his band of miscreants in town: think it must have been June 2018 last our paths crossed (Durham Blues Festival...)
Anyway, so what's been happening since; well there's a couple of new[er] faces in the band, and I don't mean Jack Alexander Timmis beard... And Laurence himself is also not so much a fresh-faced as fuzz-faced, but the fret-burning remains unchanged despite the lay-off, and even a couple of new numbers (have you pre-ordered the new album?).
There's still Thunder In The Sky and the Hendrix was knocked back a little to Purple Haze; otherwise it sounds a little like Laurence is sheading the "Blues" skin for something a little more 80s hard/melodic rock, Stop Moving The House having received a more Quo-like make over, however, there's still enough there like a romping Before You Accuse Me to remind us why Laurence was Best Young Player multiple times in the UK Blues awards.
Breaking news on Laurence's social media; and it's all change apparently. After 6 years Bennett Holland is moving on to new projects, principally the Jube duo with his partner Julie, as well as other session projects for which he's in constant demand.
Also, current drummer Sam will also be moving on to pastures new.
So, confirming tomorrow, Laurence is moving back to a "power trio" format, retaining the services of Jack Alexander Timmis on bass. Laurence is currently back at Marshall HQ woring on his 2nd album for them after the success of destination Unknown last year.

And the new drummer is.... Ash Sheehan; no stranger to followers of Glenn Hughes [in his solo days].
