actually I think it was about 9 or 10 years ago when son and I were making regular trips to hang out with him in Memphis. I bet you remember some of those trip blogs I posted here about our adventures, but they were deleted by some of the computer crashes that happened, am so sorry they were lost. One of the best was the first time we ever met him, at the FedX Forum for a Grizzlies game where he was doing the national anthem to open. First his regular amp died so he had to bring another one, and it was a beast. We barely were able to get it out on the floor. Then during the anthem he got a little carried away and accidentally pulled the cable out. No worries, he reached around and plugged it back in and hardly missed a beat. Those were some fun times, really miss him but have seen him 3 times in the last half year. This is going to be a great tour !!!

I heard the news and am not suprised, that John Henry they did together live on the boat was magnificent and seems they were made for each other. Can't wait for the CD and then the tour, no way I can miss one of those shows
I’m committed to whatever it takes to see this too. Joe says Eric’s the best and vice versa. I and the wife had super vip front row at the bluesfest here. I was wearing a vintage EG tee and he gave me a smile, came down off the stage, stood 3 feet from us and went off on a 5 minute solo with me standing there living the dream. The wife got it all on vid. After, he signed the tee for the 3rd time. Yeah, I’m a big fan because you gave me the heads up 6 years ago. Thanks Tres!
