Full circle, this was played the first time I saw them at the encore debut in Riverside. Blew my mind then, still does. This is such a badazz song!
Much love onstage.
Thanks Wooders!

Re: Black Country Communion Reunion Confirmed

Just watching some of the vids on Youtube and so gutted that work commitments meant I couldn't make either gig.

Really hope the rumours of a live DVD/Bluray are true!!

Also, I think the rig Joe was running here was his best yet...a best of both worlds as it were!!

Guitars: Fender American Original 60s Strat, Fender American Vintage 52 Tele, Gibson Les Paul Traditional
FX: Various including - Ceriatone Centura, Fire Custom Shop Carpe Diem
Amp: Fender ML212 Deville + 212 extention cabinet

review  " The set itself is simple, timely and delivered with the sort of professional approach that would put all major management consultancy firms to shame. There was a wealth of experience on the stage (I’m not even going to try and work out the cumulative years of musical knowledge between them) and it showed. A flawless exercise is musicianship, note perfect licks, breaks, mini-solos, fills and of course the vocals. Whilst Glenn may take on the lion’s share of the vocal work, when Joe added his tones to the mix as well, it immediately reminded us just what makes the supergroup (for that is what it is) so …well.. super." - https://myglobalmind.com/2018/01/05/bla … uary-2018/

Re: Black Country Communion Reunion Confirmed

WOW! This morning...my classic rock station interviewed Glenn Hughes
I'm not sure how i feel about it.....
its such a long story and i have whined about it here many times but my local rock station doesnt play Joe, the classic station doesn't play Joe even though i know the listeners would love him...the local independent station plays Joe but they just aren't ALL ROCK ALL THE TIME if you know what i mean.....and thats why i never heard Joe on satellite radio - i can't listen to a blues channel unless...well thats besides the point. my local classic rock gets the traffic/weather and local news right....

I have talked to some of the rock djs...they like Joe but between the corp payola BS and the strict definition of 'classic' they cant play his stuff

and because of other corp radio BS i don't listen often but this morning in the shower (bathroom radio doesn't get good reception on many channels) i hear the dj - long time fav dj from rock station now on classic rock (fav dj moved to take care of her dad..she was my favorite and she ♥s Joe) ANYWAY this other guy...is cool
so i hear him say he's going to interview Glenn Hughes...or he did and was gonna play it.....I almost croaked.....other dj one time i think played a BCC song cause they were doing this thing...one new song a week from a classic rock artist...Imean this is how they treated tom Petty too...one song fromn his new album years back...one time....HOW THE FUNK IS THIS STILL ACCEPTABLE RADIO FORMAT ESPECIALLY WHEN THE OTHER ROCK STATION JUST BLOWS I WILL NEVER UNDER$TAND!!!

ANYWAY...i'M FREAKING...OOOOOOH BOY OOOOH BOY oops sorry caps lock
maybe this dj will break through and intro my fine city/region with the goodness that is BCC its only right! if anyone can..he can!
i waited to get in shower so i could clearly hear...i think it wasa recording...DJ was just asking him about an effort Glenn is involved in to try to stop Human Trafficking....very cool....was short convo but nice...not about music but OK...but here's the thing...Dj is talking about it first...names all these bands and projects Glenn is/has been invovled with...plays a song off of Resonate (ok thats only right, WAIT-IT WAS ONLY PART OF A SONG) but did not at any time that i noticed what so ever mention Black Country Communion...even says something about being from England...how about THE BLACK COUNTRY REGION???SOMETHING....ANYTHING.....JUST CALL IT A PROJECT INVOLVING JOE...JASON...DEREK....ANYTHING...JUST SAY BCC....JUST PLAY A RIFF....NOTHING...who knows what the whole interview may have contained and maybe it was really just to bring awareness to the human Trafficking so thats cool but man when intro'ing him...not even a single mention of BCC...its sooooooowrong

I was sooo excited only to be so let down again by radio...WTF????
I want to send a note to dj and/or station but i think I need to think about it more....sort of just want to say holy crap thats the last straw you all suck!!! but i want to be positive forward thinking and truly just want my other locals to even know about new good rock...i think i'm maybe going to go with acting like hey maybe this dj really didnt know about bcc...(how the fudge could that be though? but why is radio so fudged up to begin with ugggghhhhhhh and don't even say oh jane they know they wont get radio play its ok blahblah no its not OK with me, its not right...just one example of the state of the world....uuggghhh)
blahblah

but still was kinda cool my radio station had Glenn Hughes on for like a minute...maybe even a whole minute of one of his songs... WOW
and then he didnt even follow up with a classic Deep Purple track or anything...
I went to station website...see dj had also interviewed Warren Haynes...oh thats so cool...what a classic rock artist! but WAIT A MINUTE....they do not play Govt Mule.....i dont even think they play Soulshine. I MEAN FOR REALS!!! i think the regular rock station occasionally plays the Almann bros version but not really sure.

ANYWAY thanks to those involved in the https://rockagainsttrafficking.org/  you can hear a great cover of Roxanne by Glenn

I hear ya Jane.
Even though Joe’s got a heavy strain of Rocker in his veins, he’ll never get cred.
Blacklisted? I could believe it.
Walking to his own beat outside of corporate entertainment’s stranglehold hasn’t endeared him.

thnx to interview reo linked....  https://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/ … bcdd8.html

I now have renewed excitement about possible BCC tour - and hopefully another album?? big_smile
"After Bonamassa’s current tour, he may return to another of his collaborative efforts: Black Country Communion, his band with Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian, which sprang back to life last year after what looked like a permanent split.

“We’re always talking about doing something,” Bonamassa says. “We’re going to try to shoot for something next year. If that works out, that would be great. I just saw Glenn, and we’re going to try to get back together, maybe do some road shows, and I think it’d be a lot of fun.”"

I'm not going to hold my breath but this was great to read!!

A fifth Black Country Communion album could be in the works soon. The band’s keyboard player Derek Sherinian tweeted the other members of the group asking, “Is it time for another?” Joe Bonamassa responded, “I’m in.. Let’s Boogie.”

saw this right after i listened to an old Eddie Trunk interview with Joe and Kevin right when BCC IV was coming out..good interview!!
stoked!!!!!
