Give It Everything You Got  - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pELav-8 … pp=desktop - new video.  They made a musical gem out of rather mediocre song.

That's two tracks with Joe playing an SG. Is it a new trend? big_smile

I have listened to it 3 times. Sad to say I am underwhelmed by it so far.

Re: Beth and Joe- New release.

thnx for links...I'll wait to release date and get at local store - hopefully (they had ZERO BCC last visit...)
not a knock on the talent oranything but i have been underwhelmed with thier works from the get-go...its mostly just because I think they'd be best with some original rock songs and Joe of course always with a rock song....
its a little jealousy too i think...the more peoplelike the two of them together the less chance I get Joe otherwise if that makes sense.

most of their stuff does end up rockin though. what i have heard from this so far I have liked
Give it All You Got is great...going to be my theme song for 2018!!! big_smile

Thanks for sharing Kenny.I was  hoping this was going to be the album that could really bring their talents to a higher level and achieve what I feel they hadn’t done yet.
But I will reserve that until I get the listen in.Music is so subjective sometimes so you never know how your going feel about an album until you absorb it fully.
I like the first two studio albums but they never got me Like Joes solo,BCC Or RCFP.Now I thought most likely that was due to my preference in genres of music.
Given the talents I was thinking it would jump to that next level sometime.
It seems they have found comfort in soul and r&b.I guess for both of them a blues or rock album would be more redundant to their primary material so I see why they stay where they are at.

Happy Birthday to wonderful Beth Hart!

Love the new album. So good! Instantly bonded with "Joy" - there is something so catchy about it smile  And my favorite truck so far " Lullaby of the Leaves". Beautiful, just beautiful... Beth' s voice, Joe's soloing create such a  mesmerizing synergy.

When I listened to Black Coffee...

I thought it'd be better with cream and sugar

---------------

(If only I had 1% of Joe's guitar talent)

Re: Beth and Joe- New release.

I got busted last night at the record store trying to buy it a day early...found it behind a "getting ready for new release Friday" rack cover and tried to buy but no go ....15 bux sale price..not going to be convenient to get there again till next week.
They did have at least 6 or so copies though and this time one copy of BCCIV, no other BCC, a nice selection of Joe and one copy of Joe and Beth SeeSaw.
I might just order from Joe store...I'm not a fan of Best Buy but considered going/convenient but last time I went over a year ago they had reduced the cd section to hardly anything.

Re: Beth and Joe- New release.

So two different bonus tracks but you have to spend almost 60 to get both. One through the vinyl and one through the cd box set unless I’m missing something. Not a fan of that. Don’t mind them when they are all on one source like the Different Shades Best Buy cd.

Really digging the samples on iTunes. Just have to debate about which set I’m going to get.

Guitars: Gibson 2015 LP Traditional in Honeyburst, Gibson LP Studio Deluxe, Fender American Deluxe Telecaster, MIM Fender Strat with Dimarzio Areas, MIM Fender Hss Strat,  Epiphone Sheraton II, Breedlove Acoustic
Amplitube 4 with Scarlett 6i6 and 2i4 interfaces through studio monitors.

Re: Beth and Joe- New release.

Actually no.
Sum of the players are great but just seemed to leave me with cold coffee and waiting something more.

I keep listening to "Black Coffee" and with each listen love it more, and more, and more. Joy, joy joy, joy>>>! Definitely going to be for me right next to "Live in Amsterdam" if not higher.
