Any chance of those Rumblebee's recordings you did with Mike getting released?  I'd love to get my mitts on that recording.

Thanks for your responses and just being you, Joe.  You are the best.

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

Playstation 3?  Really?  I have not bought one, but I gotta say that I am more excited about the games on 360, especially like SKATE and the driving game DIRT.

Lea...sorry.  No offense with the folk think intended.  Ani DiFranco is folk, and I worship her.  Sorry man.

And the Hagar thing...man I am totally sorry.  I am going to really have to question our relationship.  I went to see VH in Chicago with my friend Henry recently, and spent some time with Dave and the fam backstage...Joe...look to Van Halen Van Halen...that might help you.

Why those specific sunglasses?  Sarah told me you have more than one pair?

Did you get the iphone on the first day?  Why did you do that?  Did you wait in line?

I can totally teach you to swim.  I also know a bunch of great teachers in LA.  Old lifeguards dont die, we just teach parent child swim lessons.

Do you have a physical routine for your hands to maintain fitness and ward off fatigue and injuries?

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

Hey, I'll help with the swimming. My entire family spent our summers as Swimming Instructors! But really, thanks for the questions Dino and Joe for answering. Dino, you are an enigma at the least and very lovable when you're not biting..lol....Cathy         I was at that Halloween show and the image of Bogie spinning his helmet head so the eye holes were in the front while not missing a beat will stay with me forever!

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

Here we go again..

I got the I phone on the 2nd  week at the Glendale galleria..No Lines.. Just suckers like me paying $599 a shot for a inferior device.   Hate it Think I wasted my money.. I use the Blackberry 8800 for all my calls for my second number.  Have Tiger Woods Golf, Forumula 1 racing, Resistance .. Fall on Man. And Ace combat 2. We have all the platforms represented on the bus.. Everybody has a machine in their bunk.  Pretty Rad.  Dont want to swim never will.  Sunglasses.. Prada, Armani, Ray Ban, and Silloette.  Depending on the clothes.. I sound pretentious so do judge me.  Aaron has the x box 360 and its great.  Playstion 3 is on a different level though.. Once the games catch up with x box its over.

my two cents.. You all caught me in a forth coming mood. Its rare to say the least.. Dino..  your good..

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

Joe,

The sunglasses all look pretty similar.  I saw on the bus two differant cases, but saw two similar glasses.  I think they look hot, but so it goes.

When you get to Wausau, I will buy the iphone from you.

Ace Combat is a sick game man.  On my Xbox, I am fan of Crimson Skies.  I am not such a Flight Sim sort of guy, but prefer the arcade flying style games.

So back to it....

Camera.  I know Joe has a bit of a photography jones going.  So what sort of Cameras do you take with you on the road?  And what do you leave behind?

Do you remember the first record that really moved you?  We have gone over the whole blues guitar thing, but as a 8 year old boy, what did you hear and go...THAT IS SOOOOO COOOL.  For me, personally this is sad to admit, it was Foghat, SLOW RIDE.  I was in Matt Hahns house, and his brother had that record.  Then Kiss.

Did you play sports in school?  What was your first bicycle?

Did you trick out the BMW?  GPS, ipod?

Speaking of ipods, which one do you have?  This is a pretty cool BB story when you get to town.

In America, what is your favorite road restaraunt?

When you first  got the tour bus, did you feel weird with the driver the first time around?

What do you miss most now that your an adult?  I miss playing catch with my Dad.

Do you own a cowboy hat?

A watch?

Man, you gotta talk to the PR people.  I pitched them the article, I think it is a good article.  I think it is time.

And I am not good, I am just interested, and passionate enough about knowing to ask.

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

Oh i forgot..  With my hands.. Nothing so far.. I dont shake hands very hard.. You can imagine why..  I pray that they act up..  So far so good.    They hurt in the morning around this time in the tour.  By soundcheck Im fine.

Yeah, you guys made me check back in on the saga on Mon. morning!  I'm glad I did, I feel better about this thread now.  Wish I could be in Wausau to join the party.  Joe, we have to get you back here on a weekend some year!  Off to work, but my Mon. mood will be better and I think I'll jam some Bonamassa on the way.  And hey, I might get my son interested again, now that we know you can talk X Box.

Curiosity is one of the permanent and certain characteristics of a vigorous mind.

Prior to Van Halen meet/greets, you are instructed NOT to give Eddie a firm/hard handshake.  Steve Howe of Yes won't even shake hands, but politely says why.  It all makes sense. Go "limp" with the guitarist handshakes. :^)

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

First of all, this stinks... I haven't been on the forum for a long time, now 4 pages of posts I want to read and I'm at work, swamped and am leaving early to see Joe in Green Bay tonight!!  In any event...

For the record I want to say good job to Dino.  I loved your article (you knew I would).  Considering it's difficult to get you to consistantly say nice things, I'm glad you opted for the love in the article smile  If it isn't apparent to everyone else - I know you love Joe and that makes me love you more smile

Also for the record - I love City Pages and think it's the perfect newspaper to print an article on Joe Bonamassa.  As far as I'm concerned, anyone with a taste for culture should read this newspaper weekly - it's great.  And did someone say redneck, I think NOT!

I am soooo excited to see Joe at our beloved Grand Theatre on Tuesday.  It will be a departure for me - as I've only seen Joe in places where I walk out reaking like smoke.  Oh crap, I just had a thought, I bet I can't sing or hum along at the Grand.  My husband won't mind - but the poor guy next to me might.  In any event, I haven't been this excited about a Joe show in years.  And to hear the new songs which I love in the Grand... ohhh, too excited to be sitting at my desk at work.

And finally, an interesting thing has been happening in Central Wisconsin the past few weeks... everyone is talking about Joe Bonamassa.  There are JB commericals on the TV all the time, there is of course City Page and Dino's articles.  I have people coming up to me all the time saying when is your Joe coming to town (which for the record is very confusing since my husband and son are both named Joe!).  I have had more people recognize the name and come up to me to talk about him... if that isn't the best form of promotion, I don't know what would be.  Word of mouth is what has brought Joe to this day as far as I'm concerned.  And despite some negative critisms from me at times, I'm still Joe's biggest fan (Sara and Jane H. may think they have the market cornered... think again)!

While I'm thinking about it - and flirting with getting fired anyway - JB needs some baby gear.  My one-year old has a t-shirt that says "I'm with the band" which is adorable, but it isn't a JB t-shirt.  I know Melissa and others would agree.  Oh, and I know we've all heard it before - but my kid might rival Nico in being the biggest little fan.  Although I have to admit, he has to have his drum sticks in hand while watching the Rockpalast DVD - he may currently be a bigger Kenny fan at this point.  But know, I tried.  I gave him a guitar and all he wanted to do was bang on it.  Oh, idea:  Melissa, Nico and Joey can start a band.  Lol.  Nico on the guitar and Joey on the drums.  Since Nico is the only one who can talk, he can also do the lyrics.  Oh boy, I'm so getting fired!

One more thing while I'm here... I saw Anthony Gomes for the first time on Thursday (at Shank no less) - I have to say (and Sara forgive me) - I was not that impressed.  He isn't even in the same ballpark as Joe.

See ya in Green Bay and Wausau JB.  Can't wait!!!!

Kristine from Wausau

P.S.  Dino - why do I always get to be "Sara's sister"?  I'm older and cuter you know smile

Word of mouth is what has brought Joe to this day as far as I'm concerned.  Amen!
That and a few strokes of the strings...
Sounds like Joe may be "Breaking" central Wisconsin after all.  Better watch out for those cracks in the sidewalks, momma don't want no broken back.

Wow,
Lots of things you wanted to know about Joe in a condensed format. Thanks Dino and thanks Joe for being so forthright and sharing.
I could list another 30 or 40 questions without batting an eye, but that part about Joe's hands hurting struck home. Take it easy on the keyboard Joe, we don't want you adding carpal tunnel syndrome to the morning list of aches and pains.

So true, Bill.  We don't need Joe with Crackberry Thumb, that's for sure.  Pace yourself Joe, lol!

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

To Sarah's Sister...

It was all about how to spell your name.  Seriously, thats all I cared about not doing right, and risking the wrath again.

Thanks though.  I think for me, it is hard to understand this stuff, this place, as it is clearly not an objective discussion of music.  But it should not be.  It took me a while to figure that out.

As far as the Eddie VH thing, I have spent a good chunk of time with him over the years, and to see his management try   to protect him after all the self abuse is hilarious.

I think guitar playing is athletics, and as a result should probably be viewed that way.

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

Yo Bonamassa...

So you think the online aspect of the PS3 is better than 360?  I do not know how you think that.

I am going to buy the damn ps3 simply to play more Metal Gear games, if they come, and Gran Turismo.

But I think your nuts.
