When you heard for the first time today ( and it is amazing how the human behavior is predictable and will follow the patterns ) - How is Joe doing?.. Speechless... I am crazy - it is official.
Sorry guys, don't know on which other topic to post on. Bear with me: as soon as I feel I can - I will disappear, but not yet - love this so much, his voice is outstanding here. Love, love, love it, gives me the goosebumps and melts my core

The first step is admitting it!!
Your an addict if you follow him all over the world even when he comes to your hometown. We all know these people

Hahaha! Working on it (and also really enjoying being the village idiot of this place - exposing my craziness like that )
It is also so hard to step away from it because nothing bad or wrong coming out of it. Only the good things. For example I am learning a lot. He opened for me the Whole other universe of music I was completely unaware of: Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher ( really, really like him a lot! ), Clapton. Etta James ( never heard about her before ), Nina Simone ( only knew her songs from the American spy movie ), Billie Holiday.
Interesting story about the song Strange Fruit http://www.npr.org/2012/09/05/158933012 … ange-fruit
I've learned about the Dust Bowl as an episode of American History, didn't know about it much either.
Watched really interesting, funny and wellmade documentary Joe mentioned somewhere about the Cream' s drummer Ginger Baker "Beware of Mr. Baker"
http://www.snagfilms.com/films/title/beware_of_mr_baker
Following a comedian he mentioned once - Patton Oswald, who is smart and really funny (rare combination). Here is interesting interview with him

Also other things on a first glance completely unrelated: only clicked on this singer video because saw an interesting guitar and joe remainding stacks of amplifiers on stage - Jeff Buckley, dead amazing American singer, interesting documentary about him made by BBC - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5AiN9iNW2E
musician practicing - Glenn Gould https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-my1JH9uMk
Bonaglossary term - Bonatreasures!
( completely forgot - this forum make your posts disappear if you don't post it fast enough -*cursing* )

you just might be a Joe addict when
you know you shouldn't have a cigarette but you still really really really want one...and your friend who knows you well
tries to remind you of all the reasons why you shouldn't, the things you can't do if you do, coming up with all sorts of persuasions to remind you of what you should know but the part that want the cigarette won't let you listen to
and friend keeps trying to be supportive because you have asked them not to let you smoke a cigarette...
then they finally say "What would Joe Bonamassa think if you smoke that cigarette!?!?!?!?!"
"He's going to think you are stupid, and weak!"
it did work.....but its not like he can see me when i am sleeping (BonamaSanta) right? or like he knows/sees everything (BonaMessiah) right?
Seriously, you know you're a Joe addict when you consider how your actions will make him think of you.....
Reading today's Joe twitter post made me remember about this. After a few years of severe bonaddiction I look at many things with different eyes.
I remember showing this post to a friend back in the day and she said: wow, this person is talking about this Joe guy like he is God. I laughed nervously. Now, few years later and few relationships and friendships ruined, I have to admit. My day starts with checking Joe's instagram, twitter and Fb pages and reading people comments on them ( fascinating, absolutely fascinating reading once you start seeing the patterns and notice the usual suspects). Then I check if any new videos of his been posted or any news about him, or any new pictures. I check the forum several times a day. I watch his videos or listen to his music all the time. I think about him every day and can not even imagine not to. Is there such a thing as 12 steps program for that? I observe some bona fans who are able to channel this out or sublimate it on someone or something different. I can't. Never had a will power in my life but was lucky enough not to meet my grand addiction till july of 2016.
sO here it goes. mY NAME IS rEO AND i AM A BONAHOLIC. Not blaming anyone else but myself. I had a sense to think about stopping this in my early naivette bona years and chose not to because high was too high and the pleasure I got from it was unmatchable. I did try to quit once and not only not succeeded but caused more self inflicted wounds.
PS: here is Joe's post: https://twitter.com/JBONAMASSA/status/1 … 2367072257
I used to smoke cigarettes but was able to quit from a pack a day for five years to nothing within a week without any side effects or effort. Restarted last summer and smoked for a year but quited easily again and don't even crave it. Smoking is not my poison.
the article referenced seems more someone who is blaming others for their addiction....
Reminds me of some lyrics
You got a lot of nerve blaming someone else for your mistakes
Although I'm still a Joe addict, I've waned over the past couple of years as it seems Joe has distanced himself from his fans.
And of course this fan site
