Re: Favorite Year in Music

Totally agree with Kenny's choice however for me the special one has to be the Isle of Wight festival 1970, we had hot weather, five days of all the best bands on the planet and finished with a dose of Hendrix just a month before he died. How could I possibly top that. Six nights in a tent, eating dross food, the sweet smell of dope everywhere, sun all day and temperatures in the mid 80's and the best music on the planet. Not bad for a fifteen year old already with long hair and a beard. Do the kids of today possibly know what they have been missing. big_smile

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: Favorite Year in Music

I was in college from 1970-1974. We had great music to play. From the Beatles to Zep to The Who to 4 Way Street by CSN&Y, Fragile by Yes, Aqualung by JethroTull, Madman Across the Water byElton John, The Woodstock Album.  We even threw in some great Motown from time to time.  Nothing wrong with The Temptations.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.
