Once again, big thanks to Natasha.
So now I'm grappling with whether to go for the Baltimore PBS tickets (I need 5 of them) to be sure I can get any seats, or whether to wait for the presale with the hope of getting even closer. I know the PBS seats are all reserved in the best floor area, but even so, many of us have ended up with disappointing PBS ticket locations.
I learned that as of last week, MPT has 85 seats left out of 200, and they insinuated that the earlier you do your contributing the better the seats you get assigned. They could not confirm or deny that the pit rows
(AA,BB,CC) were included in their block.
Naturally everyone wants to be up front, but as mentioned before, 2 out of the 4 guests I am taking are guitar players and would be dumbfounded if they could see Joe up close, that's why it's so important for me to try for best as possible.
Well, now that I'm thinking/talking out loud, and given there are 5 seats needed, I think I almost have to go the PBS route from an "insurance" perspective, and let the chips fall where they may.
But any other advice is welcomed!!
Edit: I noticed that tix for the Wilkes-Barre, PA show went up to $525 for pit seats, and worked back to ~$475 to 375, then only started at the usual $125 quite a number of rows back. Maybe a sign of the times?
$150 seems like a bargain now.
