Topic: Fall 2016 Dates?

Watched our local PBS station playing RAH concert and were discussing that Joe was playing the Bushnell in Hartford, CT on Monday Nov 21.  They were doing the tickets and M&G.  Haven't seen any other dates or postings.

Maryland public tv is showing the Royal Albert Hall show this evening and announced Joe will be in Baltimore at the Lyric on November 26.

I hope this is true, the Bushnell is close. Joe is usually in the northeast in late November, my guess is this is so he can spend Thanksgiving with his family in New York.

Awesome news!  Missed the showing last night sad.

There's nothing official on Joe's tour dates listing yet, and I searched the MPT sites for pre-sale ticket packages, but didn't see anything there yet either.  I'm considering the higher priced MPT donation package option this time around, since it generally seems to be available a bit earlier than normal ticket sales, and from what I've read the seats are usually pretty decent.

Re: Fall 2016 Dates?

I'm going to try and catch a show if he's around NC or even better, in NC. I'd really like to catch some of these new songs.

Guitars: Gibson 2015 LP Traditional in Honeyburst, Gibson LP Studio Deluxe, Fender American Deluxe Telecaster, MIM Fender Strat with Dimarzio Areas, MIM Fender Hss Strat,  Epiphone Sheraton II, Breedlove Acoustic
Amplitube 4 with Scarlett 6i6 and 2i4 interfaces through studio monitors.

Wow Natasha this is great news.  I was hoping on being able to go to Baltimore and take 4 Bonavirgins with me, 2 are players too, who should really appreciate what they are seeing.  Now onward to the battle of securing great seats.  Was the PBS station offering tix for pledges?  If so, for how much?  This will all be my treat (choke) but guess I'll have to swallow hard to get up front somewhere for them.  Appreciate your advice.  Tks!

It's weird. They were offering 2 tickets for the show on Nov 26th during the broadcast but when you go to their site there is nothing there relating to Joe. They were also offering copies of RAH dvd & cd but that's not there either. You would think it would all be available. Maybe they just haven't listed it yet, but usually that stuff is there immediately. Not sure what is going on and don't remember how much they were asking for the tickets. Maybe call the station. 410-356-5600

Re: Fall 2016 Dates?

MPT just listed the tickets on their site for the show in Baltimore Nov 26. Interesting how they are selling as one ticket, not pairs and no M&G. Of course you can buy two or however many. Very decent price of $150 per ticket. They list $25 of it as a tax deduction for contribution to Public Television.

Re: Fall 2016 Dates?

Once again, big thanks to Natasha.

So now I'm grappling with whether to go for the Baltimore PBS tickets (I need 5 of them) to be sure I can get any seats, or whether to wait for the presale with the hope of getting even closer.  I know the PBS seats are all reserved in the best floor area, but even so, many of us have ended up with disappointing PBS ticket locations.
I learned that as of last week, MPT has 85 seats left out of 200, and they insinuated that the earlier you do your contributing the better the seats you get assigned.  They could not confirm or deny that the pit rows
(AA,BB,CC) were included in their block.

Naturally everyone wants to be up front, but as mentioned before, 2 out of the 4 guests I am taking are guitar players and would be dumbfounded if they could see Joe up close, that's why it's so important for me to try for best as possible.

Well, now that I'm thinking/talking out loud, and given there are 5 seats needed, I think I almost have to go the PBS route from an "insurance" perspective, and let the chips fall where they may.

But any other advice is welcomed!!

Edit: I noticed that tix for the Wilkes-Barre, PA show went up to $525 for pit seats, and worked back to ~$475 to 375, then only started at the usual $125 quite a number of rows back.  Maybe a sign of the times?
$150 seems like a bargain now.

Those $525 seats in the pit are just Ticketmaster trying to sell their marked up "Platinum" seats. We bought first row pit at Wilkes Barre during the presale for $125.

The show I was talking about is a Spring show. There hasn't been any announcement yet of Fall dates. Have to wait till Public Television has done their thing before any kind of real announcement happens.

https://bushnell.org/events/joe-bonamassa (tickets go on sale 4/1).

Re: Fall 2016 Dates?

Interesting that the Bushnell tickets go on sale Friday but no mention of a pre-sale through the website.  Hope this is not the trend for all the shows.
