Re: Used guitar strings/StringsforaCURE

Interesting read on the these two female rockers and how their paths crossed early on and later on.

My sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer and colon cancer in May. Its a tough road, but keeping the faith...

And staying hopeful that Elisa gets Sir Paul's strings this year. The SFAC Foundation could really take off with Paul's support and get more money into the hands of patients in need. I hope Paul dedicates "Birthday" to Elisa in Nashville this Thursday. wink

In 4 short years the foundation has financially helped over 558 patients with over $86,000.Many popular musicians have donated strings, if there was more social network buzz, I think the SFAC Foundation could be raising more money, not just from selling jewelry but private donations as well.

Here are some of the musicians on board.

Thank you everyone for the continued support.  Special thanks to Jane for the SFAC avatar plug last week. smile

Re: Used guitar strings/StringsforaCURE

I recently purchased this piece with the name Joe on it.   I gave it to my sister who has a 16 year-old son named Joe, who is an awesome guitarist. His initials are JB, just like my dad Joe, who would have been 92 years old last Friday, August 14th.  My dad passed on July 1st after six and a half months on home hospice.  He was the BEST Dad ever in so many countless ways.  My sister is a nurse and she knew all the right things to say and do in those last couple of days.  We all got together to celebrate my dad's life on his birthday and I gave her the necklace, it looks really nice on her.

My condolences Angela on the passing of your father.  Thank you for sharing ... that is a beautiful necklace ... and a very touching connection.

Now that sounds like it would make for a good title to a Broadway Musical! smile

Ahh ... a good Bona'ish Trivia question perhaps? big_smile

A hint ... he was born and raised in our part of the State, the "gooder" part. big_smile  His father worked for DuPont.
