Re: Lance Lopez

Well, I just got a shipment of discs from the GROOVEYARD...gotta love the 'yard.

Picked up three discs by Lance and they ALL smoke like freakin' crazy.

There is a Live disc from 2000
The first disc he released in 1999 that has been re-issued in 2007
The newest release from 2007 where he plays ALL the instruments.....and it ain't just routine playin' either.  The dude is killing the drums and has some mind blowing bass runs....not to mention Killer axe leads all the way through!

Thanks to Pittsburg Jeff for pointing these new discs and their availability out to me!!!  You rule, dude!

Also picked up two new Chris Aaron Band discs that fetaure Corey Sterling (ex Kenny Wayne Sheppard vocals) that are also REALLY good.

Just trying to pass some music your way folks

Re: Lance Lopez

Glad to hear you're enjoying Chris Aaron - he's from Wisconsin - we had high hopes for
this band a few years back - thought they might make it big - instead they have disappeared.  I keep watching for them but nothing.  Sad.

Lance has packed up his bags and moved to NY.  Damn I hope he can get something going there. The guy's just to good, with the right people behind him and a few breaks he could really make some noise.

Re: Lance Lopez

im waiting like a child two days before christmas jeff.  and lance is too good.  he has gotten me really interested in hendrix too.  there is just so much going on in lances sound i love it and i am so impressed with all he did on higher gorund playing everything.  i love that most of his songs have this fat heavy riff then just these bluesy as hell leads it is so sick to me it is really the music i have been waiting to hear my entire i am so lucky to have heard of him.

Re: Lance Lopez

Wait till you slide the dvd in!  The first show is an outdoor gig at the Rose bowl for some arts festival. Only a handfull of people there. Second show is back in 2000 for the SRV ride. LL was headlining the gig.    I got the vhs footage from his then manager who also runs the SRV ride. I took the tape and had it professionaly transfered to dvd with menus for each song. Came out really good.    Anxious to hear what you think.
