Re: Lance Lopez

Lance Lopez is originally from Shreveport. Kenny Waynes turf. He nows plays around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He does several shows along with Wes Jeans. Another Dallas monster.   I've been a Lance fan for about 5 years now. First heard him on internet radio. Tried to follow his career thru the net and spread the good word as much as possible. No denying this guy can play with the best of em.  Since you seem to really get it, I got a video from 2 shows he did back in 2000 with your name on it. Not pro mixed or anything. Just 2 awesome shows. One's from SRV ride and the others from an outdoor festival.
Thanks Dave. I love it when people realize that LL is a FREAKIN MONSTER.

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world
Then ill, I'll meet you in the next one and don't be late, don't be late

Shred:

Have to admit to a really enjoying what LL puts out there.
Pittsburgh Jeff has shared the love of some live boots also.
My LL highlight was him playing with Buddy Miles at Dallas Guitar Show 2 years back.
Absolutely amazing tone, and a lot of respect for Buddy and his sound.
LL vocals add a good bit to the mix.
Count me in the LL fan club.

Re: Lance Lopez

L.L. has more than 1 cd. Which 1 should I buy? Also, Dave Hole has been recommended and again he has more than 1. If anyone knows about him, what cd should I start with? Thanks, Cathy  PS Blues Review had a write-up re Julian Sas from Holland, I've ordered a cd and I'll let you all know......

Re: Lance Lopez

Hey Cathy,
LL has been one of my favorites for years so I can reccomend his discs. His newest, Higher Ground is off the chart awesome. Heavy blues rock with serious speaker melting guitar. Wall of soul is also right up there. Can't go wrong with either. The only one that I was dissapointed with is Simplfy your vision. Although there is a cut on there called Stones in my passway that is probably my favorite track of all. So to sum things up...
   Wall of Soul
   Higher ground
the rest.....

Re: Lance Lopez

he sent me the same mix.  unreal.  amazing.  cant say enough good things about it.  it is ten songs, all top shelf.  this is the heavy blues rock i have ever heard, also close to the best.  so so rockin i am probably just going to buy all of his cds.  the guys voice fits his music absolutely like a latex glove.  on the live cuts he can soloas long as you want and it never ever gets boring or repetitive the guy is just a master who knows how to flow.  a totally unique sound.  he blends blues metal and he is just ingenious with the effects as well.  they are never overbearing but at the same time they come through exactly as they should and sound so good.  i am very grateful at getting lucky enough to have heard of this hidden gem and i strongly urge anyone, and i mean anyone any fan of any music at all to buy some of his albums because it is straight fire.

I like simplify as equal to the others in addition to stones on my passway really like the title track and day of dreams more of rock songs than blues
