Re: Paul Rodgers

I haven't got the album yet, so good to hear others reviews of it.

I have already put this song as one of my all-time favorite Paul Rodger's songs.  Words can't express how much I am grateful that he picked this particular song to do.  Otis Redding is one of my favorite vocalists of all-time.  So now I have 2 of my favorite artists singing one of my favorite songs in their own styles.  Hearing him sing this reminds me of Otis and how much he is missed.   It just takes me back.

The title alone explains how I feel about Paul Rodgers.  And this vocal is why.

I never ever heard anyone quite sing like him.  I have no idea how he does it, I just know he makes the lyrics come alive  when he sings.  His voice is so smoooooooooooove here, that breath he takes, his signature hmmmm.  Everything to make a woman's heart melt.   Put that 2015 Grammy for best R&B vocal for this song in his hand right now, because this man deserves it.

I sure hope he plays this at his concerts and puts this as part of his encore.  That would be so freakin awesome! Hearing him Live is what it is all about smile

The Royal Sessions musicians are joining Paul for a one-off show in New York City's Town Hall on 19 June. Tickets on sale today. Wouldn't be surprised if it is filmed.

I sure hope they film this, this would be so wonderful to see.   I wish Paul and the Royal Sessions Band the most special of nights, with lots of joy and fun to everyone attending.

Please Please Please sing "I Can't Stop Loving You".  This song was meant to be sung live by the Great Paul Rodgers- Souls a shaking, Hearts a breaking soul man.

Banshee, any mention of U.S. dates? I just saw Paul with BadCo. last May touring with Joe Walsh, a double knockout to say the least!

You can read the full story and see the band members here. Hope to make this show, it could effectively be my 8th Free show ( different members apart). http://www.paulrodgers.com/paul-rodgers … t-uk-tour/ big_smile

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: Paul Rodgers

It's Paul doing his own thing in his own way.  He's earned the right to do that.  Going out as 'Free' with Simon wouldn't seem right given that Andy F passed so recently,  so this is probably as close as it will ever get. It will be a crack band and PR knows how it needs to sound.  If Europe isn't in the plan then I'll have to see you at the RAH.  This will probably never happen again.
