Re: Beth Hart
So bummed right now. Was totally excited that Beth was going to actually be in my state! After visiting at my mother's for my birthday on the 23rd (same as Natasha!), I was going to drive the 5 hours to Lancaster, then next day another 4 hours back home. Trouble is that a local college has their homecoming that weekend and every single hotel and B&B room is booked solid! BAH.
Guess I'll just have to wait an eternity until she's that close again.
EDIT: Just accidentally found a room through booking.com, 3 blocks from the Chameleon Club venue!!
Wow, so relieved and happy. :win
I need some Joe...NOW.

Glad you found a room. The drive will be totally worth it. Trust me.
Re: Beth Hart
Beth was soooo awesome when I saw her live! She puts so much soul and feeling into her singing, and the band is top notch with her! You're going to love it! Post a review!!

That's great Sally! You saw her open for The Rides, didn't you? This will be so much better. A whole show of just Beth! Look forward to seeing you there!

Re: Beth Hart
I was surprised to see announced today a Minneapolis and a Chicago gig! I don't think Beth has played those cities (headlining) since I became a fan almost 10 years ago.
To those in the U.S. who would like to see Beth I suggest following her Twitter or Facebook or just checking her website as more U.S. dates will be announced. Tickets go on sale for the Minneapolis & Chicago gigs October 24th.
Re: Beth Hart
Chicago on Feb. 21. Hope I can make it. But there's the Midwest winter weather to consider...
Re: Beth Hart
Yuck, midwest winters are the worst! I can't miss seeing the wonderful Beth though. So stoked she added a Chicago date!!

Forget about the 6:00! Since it's all General Admission, am told you need to get in line by 5:00 to get a good up-front position! Doors open at 7, then an opening act, then Beth until 11-ish. The place holds 1,000 people! Who knew in Lancaster PA!
Long night without seats. Need to go shopping for orthopedic support shoes and a package of Depends!

Chameleon Club looks like it's gotten lots of awful reviews on yelp. 3 levels high, long and narrow. Lots of complaints about security, sound and lighting. I guess we'll see how it is. Hope it turns out okay for Beth. She almost always has an opening act and her shows are usually standing. There is usually more energy with those types of shows and I think she likes to be close to the audience. The Newton Theatre and the Birchmere will be the exception in that they have seats.

Great show by Beth last night in Newton, NJ. Incredibly powerful performance. Highlight song for me was an acoustic version of "Ain't No Way". It makes you want to cry and gives you shivers at the same time.

Re: Beth Hart
Finally getting a chance to post after being busy with traveling to see Beth. Had a great time at the show in Lancaster, PA. It was nice meeting up with Sally and hanging out with her for a little while. We were also very fortunate to be able to spend a little time with Beth before the show. Don't always get that opportunity and I must say Phil is still savoring the big hug and kiss he got The show was in a club that was a real dive. Very narrow, cramped, dark, with lights blaring you in the face and 3 levels of standing room only. Procured a spot at the front due to some tips from a real nice security guy. Beth was intense at this show. Didn't film much because the conditions were horrible for it and it was fun not to have to stand perfectly still. As luck would have it the only guy yelling out stood next to me. He kept say Wooo! practically every 2 minutes. Oh well what can you do. He was very excited. Many of the songs were dark and intense quite the change from the theatre show 2 days before.
