Give back the lemons. Why were the lemons free? What's wrong with the lemons?

It is, certainly a very different sound to Ian's blues material, but still oozes sheer class. Old mates Steve Amadeo and Morg Morgan on bass and keys respectively, one time Aynsley drummer Alex Thomas and Beth Porter adding atmospheric cello complete the line-up Matt Butler producing (check his CV sometime....) and Jon Kelly mixing. If there's an English equivalent of Americana, then this is it.

Very nice indeed, well the samples on the link. Like it. Might be worth a punt as I an is always worth supporting.
Same old story really. I could imagine with airplay he could be huge, but he is never going to get it is he?
Found out at the week-end that there are changes to upcoming shows of Ian's:-
12th October - Tring is cancelled.
2nd November - Reeth
Both shows postponed - new dates to be sorted
16th November - Bromsgrove.
However, to make up for the above:-
Dec 22 Sun
Christmas Special: Ian Parker - Stourbridge: Moochers (DY8 1PH)
Feb 24 2014
Boogaloo Blues Weekend - Stoke-On-Trent: North Stafford Hotel (ST4 2AE)

"Final recording session coming up to complete my first blues/roots studio album since 'Where I Belong' in 2007. Really excited about getting this one out there and touring it. Unusually for me, it contains a couple of covers including the Cream classic, 'Politician'!!"
I hope he will be on the road again via Germany to Muddy`s Club in Weinheim, Germany. We will be there...

Thanks for the heads-up Anna; good to know that Ian's breaking cover soon, always a quality performer.
Here's an acoustic take of a new number as a taster:-

And I want to add another version, played decades later, exactly 6, May 2005 at the same Location (RAH):

I´m really looking forward of Ian`s interpretation of it as a high potential musician, guitarist and soulful expressive singer...
Ian will play the Open Air at the Schlosshof in Weinheim/Bergstraße on Saturday: August,1st (together with Aynsley Lister and Zach Prather).
Ian's doing an Album launch gig at Robin 2, Bilston on April 9th.
Ian is back with a new album called "Politik Blues" (release date was last Monday: April, 13th 2015)
Here is a review about it:
Heard about the album launch, but couldn't make it but as soon as I got word on Monday I was on to Ian's site and ordered it. It came through the door 24 hours later and I could hardly wait to play it.
Ian's first "proper" Blues album in a long while and it's been well worth the wait. Ian has a kind of understated style which belies the power he has. As he says in the credits, he can't do an album without Morg Morgan on keys, and indeed, he's there. It is a little weird not seeing Wayne Proctor or Steve Amadeo in the credits, after long service together but Ian's puled back in his original band mates from his Strange brew days.
Long and short - it's a really, really good album; the cover of Richie Haven's cover works well, and Jack Bruce composition Politician has timely bite.
Ian played this Saturday: August,1 the Muddy`s Club Blues Festival in Weinheim /Germany.
Performing were Aynsley Lister and Zach Prather too.
Here now Ian & Aynsley having fun by "All Along The Watchtower". It was a great unforgettable Bluesnight!!! Enjoy.
When's Ian going to do a band release? Solo efforts aren't my bag these days. More energy with a band sound.
