We're seeing them at Grand Point North in Vermont next month.
Phil was in New York on business and while he was there he went to see the Gov't Mule show on 9/17. He took my camera with him and filmed the whole show. I'm slowly putting them up on my channel.
Here is a cool one, "I Think You Know What I Mean" into "When the Levee Breaks" back into "I Think You Know What I Mean" http://youtu.be/WwuTQnW-TDg

Thanks for that one, it's always one of my favorites!
Ben was at the show and will be psyched to hear that Phil filmed the whole thing!
Here is the playlist for the whole show from 9/17/13. So glad Gov't Mule has a site with the setlist. They also tell you which songs are the first time being played and who the special guests are. Never would have known this information otherwise.
NYE Run? I'm doing Philly and NY
Yay! Got tickets for my first Mule show, Oct 24th at the Neptune in Seattle.
bit late to post this up, but as I have a great morning working at my desk with Shout! playing along in the background I just needed to say...... It is a work of genius. A brilliant album. Nothing more really other than just to recommend you buy it if you have not done so before.
ps, this is not spam, just music appreciation.
I still need to get it! (Shout) And Jane, I took your advice and weaseled my way as close to Warren as I could get. It was hard because he was crammed over on the left side. The Neptune is a really old theater, very tiny. I think the capacity is just under 900 and it does have a balcony too.
What a player. And they really deliver! Two sets! Fun to watch the crowd too at these shows. For a couple songs there was a guy behind me, had to be almost 7 feet tall, all arms and legs dressed in head to toe in tie dye jumping up and down, waving his arms. He was seriously aerobicizing. Jazzercize? Mule-y-cize!
Anyway, great show. I'll now try and see them every time they come to Seattle.
Edit to add: Cool to see a real Leslie! Looks like it weighs a freakin' ton!
Front row for the Beacon run this New Year's. (Wife stays home. You score sweet single seats!)
Robby Krieger sitting in for some Doors on NYE
for the europeane muleheads...............i found out the first two dates in germany for 2014. 6.07. hamburg fabrik, and 7.07. hannover capitol.

Now I would've probably never known about the Mule if it wasn't for reading about them on this forum, with great things being said. So when I saw them on a Sydney bill supporting Gregg Allman (sideshow to both of their appearances at the Byron Bay Bluesfest) at a small-medium sized theatre on 21 April, I thought "OK I'm in".
Unfortunately, Gregg Allman had to cancel on the day as his wrist injury had worsened but the result offered (vs an option for a refund) was extended sets by Govt Mule and Devon Allman, who had been the opening act.
Just unbelievable! Devon's band laid down an hour of fine blues with Warren Haynes joining him at the end followed by 2.5 hours of Mule mastery (setlist: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/govt-mule … 3dbcf.html) which included the reappearance of Devon and a blazing extended jam finale of 'Going To Send You Back To Georgia' with Luther Dickinson from the North Mississippi Allstars.
A very special night indeed!

Bought my tickets a few days ago. I'm so glad to see them again in the Fabrik in less than a year. COOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!
Are you coming, Thomas?
for my fellow Mule Heads, - some films from last night in London, enjoy:
Thanks for putting these up, Ian, although I've no idea what they are yet as youtube is verboten at work. Will try to look tomorrow 'cos you know where I'll be tonight.:) I've no idea how well mine have come out yet as I've only seen T Beck on my camera on train home last night, but it looked good. Will try to get some uploaded at the weekend.
It was a superb evening with great company (David, Ian and Ian's son, Will) all with me down at the front, where else. As I've just said to David, I could see Mule every night for a week or more and I know I'd not tire of them. You have to admire a band that played none of the songs on the setlist from their last visit to London one year ago and only two from the previous year. They are the ultimate musicians imo and my favourite band and even better, we get to do it all again tonight with a different setlist.
Last night's setlist was:
Set 1
Any Open Window
Steppin' Lightly
World Boss
Mother Earth
Lola Leave Your Light On
Thelonius Beck
Whisper In Your Soul
Rocking Horse
Million Miles From Yesterday
Soulshine
Set 2
No Reward
No Need To Suffer
Painted Silver Light
If Heartaches Were Nickels
Brighter Days
Drums (with Rock ’n’ Roll teaser)
Like Flies
Mr. High & Mighty
Encore (with Reeves Gabrels on second guitar)
Mr. Big
The Hunter
Good Morning Little Schoolgirl
The Hunter reprise
I loved every second of it. Besides the tracks from Shout, there were a couple of first timers for me and, being a big ABB fan, it was great to hear Rocking Horse.
I wonder who's guesting tonight? There's so much choice amongst the UK music fraternity that Mule don't have the chance to perform with very often. Let's hope for a Brit or two tonight.
Edited to say we did have guest appearances in London by Paul Jones and Bernie Marsden a couple of years ago - before someone "reminds" me.
Phil
see you tonight Phil.
- ps I think the Led Zep drum teaser in Matts amazing solo was "Rock ’n’ Roll”? 14mins 45 seconds in on here: http://youtu.be/Uvx6L8tfOSE
As I can't listen I'll take your word for it and have changed the setlist. I've got the drum from RnR in my head now and yes, you're right. I must have been so excited I got my drum beats in a fluster. It's great to hear a drummer playing drums with some depth. I'm tired of hearing drumming that sounds like someone hitting a suitcase so it's great to hear someone play like Bonzo.
See you later.
Wow. Mr. Big followed by The Hunter. Exactly what Free did back in the day. Pity they haven't played outside London the last 2 trips
