Topic: Paris March 4th

Here are some news from the 2nd show in Paris yesterday (March 4th).
It was the same setlist as the previous day (see below).
As expected from Joe, it was a great concert with two fantastic bands. The highlights were to my opinion: Athens to Athens in the acoustic set, and the three songs preceeding the encore in the electric set: Love ain't a love song (which included a great percussion/drum solo (well, can we call this a solo???) by Lenny Castro and Tal Bergam in addition to Joe's solo) - Sloe Gin - The Ballad of John Henry. When Sloe Gin ended up, I thought it would be the best song of the concert and then we were treated with an outstanding version of John Henry which was even better than Sloe Gin. John Henry is not usually my favorite Joe's song, but this new version was just unbelievable.

Acoustic set:
Woke Up Dreaming
Seagull
Jelly Roll
Black Lung Heartache
Around the Bend
Jockey Full of Bourbon
Stone in my passway
Ball Peen Hammer
Athens to Athens

Electric set :
Dust bowl
Oh Beautiul
Who's Been Talking
Midnight Blues
Slow Train
Driving Towards the Daylight
Love ain't a love song
Sloe Gin
The Ballad of John Henry

Encore:
Django
Mountain Time

Re: Paris March 4th

If someone has taken good pictures during the March 4th concert and agrees to share them, I would be very interested. Thank you.

Hi Pantera,
I don't how long it lasted, but yes, it was an extended "out of this world" version of The ballad of John Henry. Joe carried this song to an incredible level. It seems you enjoyed it too?

Have a nice day.
