What album you talking about?
Black Sabbath 13
The Aristocrats "Culture Clash"
I finally reviewed my 2013 purchases. Pretty light year as I only bought 16 2013 releases so far.
Best for me was:
Black Sabbath - 13
Biggest disappointment was:
Nine Inch Nails - Hesitation Marks
In Alphabetical order, my favourite 10 of the year:
Avatarium - Avatarium
Church Of Misery - Thy Kingdom Scum
Crumbling Ghost - II
Ihsahn - Das Seelenbrechen
Purson - The Circle and the Blue Door
Spiritual Beggars - Earth Blues
Thieves' Kitchen - One for Sorrow, Two for Joy
Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats - Mind Control
Von Hertzen Brothers - Nine Lives
Wolf People - Fain
Best, as in the album which listening to gave me the best feeling:
The Delta Riggs - Hex.Lover.Killer
Best of the widely known, high sales volume - can't go past:
QOTSA - Like Clockwork
Honorable mention for Eric Steckel's "Dismantle The Sun" - great album sampling here in this 16 min trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT5BVOo8_Yw
Edited to add: Nevermind, that was a 2012 release...I just didn't find it until 2013.
Dana Fuchs - Bliss Avenue
Tedeschi Trucks Band - Made Up Mind
King King - Standing In The Shadows
Samantha Fish - Black Wind Howlin'
Henrik Freischlader - Night Train To Budapest
My favourite album of 2013 is, without a doubt, Jo Harman - Dirt On My Tongue.
Lots of great albums released this year...
Dana Fuchs, The Hoax, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Alter Bridge, Patty Griffin, The Temperance Movement, Trixie Whitley, Ashleigh Mannix, Janne Schra, Will Wilde, Samantha Fish, Buddy Guy, Beth/Joe, Heavens Basement, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown.
I have quite an eclectic taste in music!
Joe Acoustic Live in Vienna CD
.......... Michael
Well, really a lot of great records this year, the two that stood out for me:
John Mayer - Paradise Valley
I have to admit that I´m kind of a fanboy but this one really grew on me, great great great songs on there
Steven Wilson - The Raven that refused to sing
I´m not really a Proghead anymore but this album really did it for me!!
So many great albums I've bought in 2013 (though some may be late 2012 releases)
Highlights for me are the ones I am still playing on a regular basis
JJ Grey - The River
King King - Standing In The Shadows
The Hoax - Big City Blues
Royal Southern Brotherhood
Marcus Bonfanti - Shake The Walls
Aynsley Lister - Home
The Mentulls - Time Flies
Samantha Fish - Black Winds Howlin
Jonny Lang - Fight For My Soul
Devon Allman - Turquoise
Rival Sons - Head Down
JB - Driving
Temperence Movement
Anders Osbourne - Peace
There are plenty of other albums which I have only just started getting into but will no doubt become repeat plays, among these are Henrik Freishladers Night Train To Budapest (though I prefer House In The Woods) and Govt Mule Shout, Tedeschi Trucks Band, No Sinner...
I forgot the Pinnick Gales Pridgen album came out in 2013. That's definitely near the top of my list.
