I know exactly what look you're talking about Jane
that eyebrow thing he does at the beginning of Mountain Time on Beacon is TOOOO MUCH!
Enjoyed that so much, I watched it again at Midnight! I was hoping to see, Pain and Sorrow, Chain & Things and Tea for One, not complaining just saying. I too ordered the box set and can hardly wait for it to get here now! The email says ships Nov 1 which is Friday, had it shipped to my work address if it does not arrive by Tuesday the 5th that would be okay since I will be seeing Joe for real that night in Louisville
It was nice to see so many familiar faces in the crowd, Patty, Michael, Phil, Rick, Helen, Pete, Roy, Steve and Aimee were all in there! And Bearded Irish Guy, (our new friends that were in the queues with us and stood next to me at Shepherd's Bush) if you're reading this, you and your lovely wife are in the a close up shot during Driving Towards the Daylight at the Apollo
Here's a listing of the songs, I think I got them all please feel free to correct me if I didn't
Borderline
I Know Where I Belong
Spanish Boots (loved this one, please please put on the US Fall tour setlist)
Story of a Quarryman

RAH
India Acoustic (?? apologies and please correct me if I have listed this wrong, I may have it confused with Django? I did not see it listed on any set list for RAH for the acoustic but Django listed w/ Mountain Time in the electric set)
That first acoustic number was "From The Valley".

Have the four DVD's and haven watch the Hammersmith Apollo but the songs chosen for air off of each were a great example to hook new fans. And the website didn't crash yipee.
Huge Kudo's to Kevin Shirley for putting together an hour and a half of pure genius. If this doesn't sell DVD's I don't know what will. And Jim, even though there have been problems with the JB Store site, the product is worth it
Interesting to see that the barrage of laser-like spots in the beginning of Slow Train overloads the cameras on pro gear and not just my little lumix. Brilliant work by Kevin Shirley to bring the best of Joe to the masses. Record this if you can. Caveman posted that this compilation will not be duplicated or released in any other form.

Did anyone record this & is able to send a copy down here to Australia? I'll pay costs. I'm itching to watch some of this before my Delayed Marshall box set arrives.
I'm watching it now. Did anyone else NOT hear any of the horns during the Shepard's Bush segment? I hope the DVD sounds better than that.

Palladia streams live from their website. IDK if it is available down under but it is worth a search. The show is being replayed every few hours all weekend.
It was a great sampling of the shows. Unfortunately, it was like going to a wine tasting...those little cups just aren't enough. Looks like I'll be leaving with four cases of the good stuff!
Somehow I haven't heard Jockey Full of Bourbon til now (probably since I've listened to his live stuff a billion times more than the studio albums)... I love it! So whimsical with those keyboard parts! Really fun to watch Carmine dance to it, too.
Also, this version of Slow Train is the best I've heard. Amazing solos. He guitar at the end of each solo takes on this wild, catlike howl (in a good way, lol) and seems to almost fly out of his arms with power. So much energy in that number. Definitely want to see the full shows!!

Thank you so much Lee! It had escaped me I knew that wasn't right. I totally overlooked it when I looked at the set list.

I have to admit it did cross my mind but wasn't going to bring it up! I believe they're a step ahead nowadays
I forgot to mention, I looked in on the ITunes Blues charts yesterday before the shows aired. RAH was # 2 or 3, Beacon was somewhere in the top 10. There were 5 more albums in the top 25 including Don't Explain and Seesaw. When I looked last night after they aired, RAH had moved to the # 1 spot. Looking at it now, RAH is #1 Vienna is at #2,Beacon is #4 DTTD is #6 and Dust Bowl is #8 Don't Explain & SeeSaw still in top 20 and LFNIP is now in top 25 at #23!! Even more telling is DTTD is the #5 single, Further on Up the Road from RAH is #12, Dust Bowl #13, Slow Train #16 Sloe Gin RAH #20 and Jockey Full of Bourbon Vienna is #21, no need to stop there, Blues Deluxe RAH, Midnight Blues Beacon, A Place in My Heart, Down Around My Place, and BOJH RAH are within the top 50 songs. There are also some of the Joe/Beth songs in top50 I have not included. I could be wrong but I cannot recall a time looking at the Itunes blues charts seeing so many singles. Very exciting 3 in the top 16 are Joe's originals I hope dvd/bluray sales went as well
