Topic: It's Joe Bonamassa Night on Palladia Oct 26th!

WOW! Looks like they will be airing 3 1/2 hours of Joe starting at 7:00pm eastern with Live at the Beacon followed by Live at Vienna at 8:00pm and ending with 1 1/2 hour Tour De Force- Live in London!!! That's pretty darn exciting, I can't wait!

Thanks for the heads-up Lizzee!  I had a reminder for myself to record/watch Palladia at 9pm.  Totally missed the other shows.  Duh! neutral

Just keeping it up top.

Re: It's Joe Bonamassa Night on Palladia Oct 26th!

Most of the time I am very happy we don't have cable, except when really cool things like this come along. Grr! Guess I just have to sit here patiently and wait for my London Blurays to come.

Re: It's Joe Bonamassa Night on Palladia Oct 26th!

Good to know....I will definitely be watching.  Thanks for the heads up.

Did you order the individual discs or the box set, I ordered the individual discs and recieved mine yesterday, as it seems a few people did.

I ordered the box set, so I'll have to wait. I have to admit I'm kind of ambivalent about it all. On the one hand I really want to see it, but on the other hand I know it'll really bum me out to be reminded again of all the incredibly cool songs I didn't get to see live. I guess I can always hope for Joe doing a retro tour someday in the future showcasing his older stuff.

Yeah, i heard the box sets dont ship until Nov. 1st now. thats a bummer. but if its any consolation, the borderline dvd will definatly satiate your desire for early joe material, there are some great versions of his old stuff, and some great versions of his newer stuff like of Black Rock and TBOJH that work really well with a trio.

It may seem weird, but it's actually the Borderline one that's going to bum me out the most. The fact that we couldn't be there just killed me. "I Know Where I Belong" is one of my absolute all time favorites, and then there was "The River", "Burning Hell", and then of course The Best Version of "Blues Deluxe" Ever!!  The whole thing was just beyond! Watching on the TV just can't compare with being able to see Joe in person just wail on these songs. As I said, all I can hope is that someday Joe might decided to do some of this again. I will be there in a flash smile

Yeah that would have been an incredible experience to see these 4 shows in person, however it was never really in the cards for me, with the prices of the tickets, and then the airfare to get over to England, and then a hotel on top of that, it just wasn't doable for me.  I know what you mean, it's sort of a tease, seeing these DVD's is great but seeing Joe in person is simply incredible, I saw him on his 2012 Spring Tour for the first time and was simply left speechless, and then I saw him again at the Iridium with RCFP and again I was just sitting there in absolute awe. And you seem to know a good amount about the set already, like me have you been searching bootleg videos of these shows for months on Youtube?

I was on the forum constantly when the shows were happening to know all the seltlists and to hear the news of it from everyone. Stayed up late on those nights to catch the videos as Pete and Rick put them up. My husband had offered to get me tickets as a Christmas present, but since he couldn't go because of work, I didn't feel right going without him. I think in the end he might have preferred me going since all I did was mope around the house all week. Believe me, if this ever happens again I'll take him up on his offer smile

Re: It's Joe Bonamassa Night on Palladia Oct 26th!

Somehow, I don't think that the tv in my hotel here in Pago Pago will be showing Palladia, hmm lol I'll just try and recall that series  and patiently wait for the box set. I feel for you that couldn't swing that tour. It was a big gulp minute or two when I clicked on that buy the whole enchilada and panic city when the server was glitching and wouldn't take any card but amex. A great Bonabuddy stepped in and gave me an assist, which I continually pay forward. Now, looking back it was worth every cent.

I wasn't on the forum so much, I just wasn't an active member of the forum then, actually I think I registered after the Tour De Force shows happened, I was just on youtube the day after each show scouring for videos of these 4 shows, although after watching all 4 of the Blu-Rays, I would say the youtube videos did these shows no justice, Tour De Force far surpassed my expectations.

Re: It's Joe Bonamassa Night on Palladia Oct 26th!

Palladia promoting tonight's premier of Tour de Force on their home page, above the promo it has "download" and "play now" not sure if that means you can watch Palladia through your pc as I did not proceed with the download. Here is the link:

http://www.palladia.tv/

So cool they are airing Live at the Beacon and Live at Vienna Opera House in the 2 hours before the Tour de Force in primetime Saturday. Tour de Force will also air again at Midnight eastern time which puts it on at 9:00pm on the west coast.

I think this is as big a deal as when they ran RAH for the 1st time. I remember I had only been on the forum about a month at the time it was announced RAH would be on Palladia. We did not get the channel, when I called Direct TV to see about getting it they said it was part of "package" and they would give it to me for 90 days free, and it was only $5.00 more a month after that. We watched several shows on Palladia after that and never even considered dropping it after the 90 day trial. We all know what Palladia has done for Joe but I would say there are some like me that could say what Joe has done for Palladia smile
