Topic: Aberdeen - 23 September
A Joe gig without travelling, took me a wee while to get my head round that
The set list was to be the same as Cardiff but they didn't play Spanish Boots. No guest tonight. Joe commented that the venue was an echo chamber and that everyone could come back tomorrow and hear the songs again as they would still be up in the roof. I am not a lover of this venue and although the music was loud tonight, the quality was better than I expected.
I love the new song arrangements especially on Dislocated Boy and TBOJH. Plus of course the extended ending of Song of Yesterday which BCC used to do. This show was heavier on the rock side tonight and the version of Sloe Gin was easily the heaviest version I have heard. I would like to thank the audience tonight for being so respectful, I have never been part of an Aberdeen audience that didn't talk through songs or go back and fore to the bar/toilets. It's a measure of the respect Joe & Co have buit up over the years.
Not sure of crowd numbers but there weren't many empty seats.
Edit. Midnight Blues was the highlight for me.
