Truly spectacular game, last night...draining to watch. How each team kept at it, even as you could see them becoming drained, was another of those lessons in "pluck"--for those that may remember my quote reference in the tornado-related topic thread. The "hockey gods" were in the Hawks' corner, and some serious help was given to both goaltenders, by two fantastic teams.
Not sure I can stand too many more games like that, though. But I'll be rooting for both sides (and hoping the Hawks end up on top).
EDIT: Pardon me, for waxing nostalgic. Back when I was young and could play hockey.... I started as a defender, then switched to goaltending, because the one for our team thought you just stood back there in the goal mouth, and "woke up", from time to time. Tony "O" Esposito was my hero. None of the crazy-cool helmets and face cages, back then. Tony and Phil most deserving hall of famers, for certain. We'll see some of these guys make it there, at some point, I'm betting.

A vintage shot of Tony, in the "state of the art" equipment, of that era, at the link. Some crazy records, too. Not all of them to be proud of.
I learned to play butterfly style, when almost nobody did that. It freaked my coach out, at first. Now, that's how the netminding game is played.
Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences. You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway. If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.
