The Islanders win again and tie the series. They have to be worried in Pittsburgh!

And chased Fleury for tonite!

Small but real possibility of the 4, 6, 7 and 8 seeds going into round 2, too bad TO is falling just short. Tuesday night goaltending was horrific all around. I haven't seen as many bad plays in a night since Brodeur v Giguerre game 5 in 2003.

However it seems they forgot to show up last night

.
Probably will go to 7 games.......so they can make the big money and don't forget the betting...that's going on as well....

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

Re: No Hockey Fans This Post Season???

I should be backing the Caps as a D.C. area fan, but the Hawks were the first team I ever heard about from my Dad when I was young, so I'm with Bill (again).

Go Hawks! cool

Re: No Hockey Fans This Post Season???

Only thing this first round needs is a couple GAME 7'S!
There is one so far...Bruins played for only 9 minutes the other night and they could be in trouble if they play like that in Toronto. Friday night was an awesome night of playoff hockey. Ducks came back but lost in OT. Rangers caps was wide open in overtime. If more people gave the NHL an honest chance, they be hooked.Live its the best, but TV coverage has come a long way.

Head and shoulders above other sports for excitement, IMO. Loads more sportsmanship for the most part as well.

Have to agree on all points made. There is not a game I haven't enjoyed whether my teams lost or one. One fantastic sport with the most skilled players.

Re: No Hockey Fans This Post Season???

Well we have a game 7 tonight. Every team I have been going for is losing, soooo Go Detroit! tongue
Islanders deserved a better fate, they played way above their talent level. Glad it wasn't a fluke goal though.
So how is your playoff beard coming in?

Islanders had one heck of a series with Pitt. Was sure hoping they would take the Penguins out. Still alot of good hockey left. As for the beard 38 years and counting ........... the number of years I've been waiting for the Caps to win the cup.
