Topic: Joe Bonamassa and Alvin Lee?

I haven't gone back and looked at every cd, but I don't remember any of the songs that Joe has covered ever mentioning his name in the credits.
On Sloe Gin, the song One of These Days lists  "Joe Bonamassa and Alvin Lee".
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Obviously this song is changed from the original, but very few of Joe's covers ever resemble the original. So what's different about this song?

I would guess the outro.

No doubt Jim the outro has nothing to do with the original, that's all Joe. A Space In Time, one of the all-time gems in my library.

Re: Joe Bonamassa and Alvin Lee?

Ahhh yes A Space In Time... Sloe Gin resembles A Space In Time somewhat, in a more tangible way than Tapestry due to the acoustic slant (mixed in there with the edge) Ten Years After took, after hard scorching blues rock precedents, so it was a departure and raised some eyebrows for them, but yet it yielded a hit (really their only, by radio & sales standards) in "I'd Love To Change The World", the one song most people could recognize, even not knowing the artists who made it!  And the solos were there also, but also going "outside", writing a decently attractive ballad about avoiding drugs ( "Hard Monkeys"-a big deal in the  '60's / '70's) their best seller I believe.....a timeless space in time! cool
