Topic: stockpiling music
Well I've been around for a few years and have a lot of music in various formats,cd,vinyl,cassette,mp3.I know most here arre music nuts like myself.I think Ive slowed down on new purchases over the last couple years.I was curious on how many new "albums" are being bought on a monthly basis on average.I used to probly get 2-4 new ones a month.I would say I have cut that in half.
Second part is how do you rotate you collection.I know there are a lot of cd's that I haven't listened to in a long time.Others seem to get pulled out to play in maybe 2-3 month intervals. Then there are the ones that never were woth getting in the first place because they only got a few plays and that was it.
Third part question. How do you have time to listen to a large amount of music. For me I have to drive around all day so I have a lot of time to listen to music. If I dint have the kind of job I have.I don't know that I would have nearly as much of a music collection.
