If anyone has tickets available for the Chicago Theatre on 5/1/13, I might be interested. All that is left on Ticketmaster is high up and far back. I would try PBS but they can't tell me a seat location. I'm not a fan of that.

IME, PBS seats are prime center orchestra in the first dozen rows. If they have any left you should go for it.

I'm going by our stuff out here. If you want a guarantee, wait for the release to market of those, or trust to luck. It will sell out.

Yes, Rick is totally correct, PBS takes all the prime seats.
But I had a bad experience with one of their tickets last year for Joe. Was in Row E, 5 rows back, great, but the second seat in from the wall, so far over that the speakers totally cut off my view of Tal and Carmine. However, our PBS has a policy that if you end up with a bad seat due to obstructions, they would move you to a better one. Evidently they reserve a few extra just for that purpose. So I also recommend you go with PBS.
Well, took the credit card out and went to the PBS site and wouldn't you know it... No longer available. Oh well. Lesson learned for next time. Maybe the ticketmaster gods will be kind to me for once and I'll get lucky. (Not gonna hold my breath)

Even the good for nothing ticket brokers are mostly cleaned out.
I think two shows at the Chicago Theatre is a must for 2014.
I stood in line at the Chicago theater and was there an hour before the sale. First in line.
4 tickets in row 28 or something like that. When I asked why, the guy said PBS pretty much had the entire main floor. I don't believe the PBS seats are all prime seats. In fact, I obtained seats for the show in Merrillville a while back and, while not awful, they were in about row 20.

That Merrillville show was my first Joe concert. I somehow managed 4th row through Ticketmaster...after the on sale date. Go figure.
I can't believe you were first in line and that's all you ended up with. I'm kicking myself for not jumping on those PBS tickets when I had the chance.
