Watch out as Matt will also have available on the tour a new live CD, Ten From The Road for sale at the gigs. Also listen out as there maybe some new tracks as it looks like he'll be hading off to the studio to prepare his first post-Nugene album for release in the summer.

So here it is..'Ten From The Road' a live album recorded during our tour last year, it really captures the Trio at it's best..'LIVE' it really is insanely good, and is only going to be available in hard copy at gigs over the next couple of
months, it features all Matt's greatest live work and it's over an hour of power, get em whilst they're hot!! Also on the tour will be t-shirts featuring the disc artwork we posted last week..very cool indeed, see ya'll soon..     Cathy

Caught Matt Schofield for the first time in over a year on Friday, doing a small tour of favourite venues, with Evan Jenkins sitting back in on drums.

Opening the evening was a very brave solo set from a near voiceless Sam Hare. He’d hastily re-arranged his set to drop a couple of keys and did an excellent job with what voice he had. Once recovered, hope he comes by again and shows what he’s really capable of.

What can you say about Matt & band that hasn’t already been said? They delivered a great set based round the newer numbers from the Anything But Time album, and a lot of older songs, making Evan feel back at home. Ear To The Ground, Live Wire, Where Do I Have To Stand, Shipwrecked, Dreaming Of You, See Me Through. Only downside, think Sam Hare’s throat bug had found it’s way into Matt’s amp-head with some strange sounds peeking through in the quiet parts, but if anything it inspired Matt to pull the stops out even more in his solos. The only guy I've ever seen get ovation level applause for each solo, though Jonny Henderson didn't do too bad either.

Encore for the night, Matt ressurected his take on The Letter; strectched out nearly 15 minutes to give everyone a showcase, great end to a great night at The Cluny.

He was great at Turnhout last saturday.

I caught Matt Schofield at the 100 Club in November and got a copy of Ten From The Road. It is well worth ordering yourself a copy while available, a fantastic live album that won't leave you disappointed, and will just make you want to see him in the flesh.
