Hated for that to end. Awesome show and Matt's new sig rig sounded great. He'll be in SoCal @ NAMM and doin' a private show @ the Slide In in Fullerton Sat., but there may be free leftover tix, check his website for details on how to be contacted if they're available.

Re: Attention Matt Schofield Fans

thanks Dawg, this is so cool because I am listening at work with my door CLOSED. First set is over and it was great, what a super sound he's getting with the 2 rock. He reminds me a lot of Robben Ford, just really cool jazzy licks all over the place. Gotta go back for the next session now.

well that was tremendous, the guy can really play and he's getting some JB tones in there as well. All at once it reminded me of Elvin Bishop, but better voice, and also of Larry Carlton doing those Steely Dan riffs. When does he hit the states for a tour? Actually it was so good I'm going to watch again tonight.

I don't think I'll be watching again since it's not on, thought those were multiple broadcasts. If anybody knows if they will run it again I'd like to know. Free studio sets are very cool.

Save that web link Tres for Thur. Jan. 26th 8PM EST & 5PM PST for The Outlaws. TRI Studios are pretty much the work of Bob Weir. He was on the local SF news awhile back showing off his project and talking up the webcasts that are starting to roll outta there now. They have an E-mail list to join for upcoming shows.

Re: Attention Matt Schofield Fans

Unbelievable ! Matt is coming over the pond for only 3 dates in April, and then will head back to the UK. Oh, but one of them is right here in Birmingham,AL at Workplay on 4/21 and I'll be there. Tickets you ask? How about $12 and no service charge. Can't wait to hear that semi-new rig with the Two Rock. I have not been this excited about seeing an artist since I ran into this Joe Bonamassa guy back in 2006.

Re: Attention Matt Schofield Fans

Glad you found that show Tres, my bad for not givin' you a heads up when I saw it on his site. I'd have to agree with you on him grabbin' my attention the way Joe did. Fortunately his drummer, Kevin Hayes, lives in Marin County which brings them to the Bay Area more than other areas in the states. Enjoy the show!

Re: Attention Matt Schofield Fans

Attention Europe:
Matt Schofield is just touring in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Norway.
Check his website for tour dates: http://www.mattschofield.net/shows.html

Re: Attention Matt Schofield Fans

We had the luck to see one of his rare German shows yesterday. Compared to two years ago when I saw him last they are still better which is partly due to the new drummer Kevin Hayes. Great show, nice guys.
Unfortunately they were followed by Rudy Rotta : we gave him 1 1/2 songs before taking flight.

Re: Attention Matt Schofield Fans

I caught up with Kevin Hayes yesterday @ an Art & Wine festival in Kevin's hometown of Novato, Ca. Had a chance to ask him what's up with Matt. Apparently Matt's getting hooked up with new management and his website is getting a make over as well. Kevin told me they are probably playing the Bay Area in Sept. So get ready for Matt being stateside this fall, can't wait.

Re: Attention Matt Schofield Fans

Hmmmm, took a couple tries, but Matt's website came up and he had a couple shows cancelled in Lancaster, Pa. today and in Memphis on the 15th. Could be fallout from the mgt. shake up.

Yes, he's left his UK label and management Nugene, so we'll have to see what transpires, but I'm sure it will boost his US exposure. UK fans will have to attend his planning tour in November in numbers to ensure he keeps coming back.
