Re: No Hockey Fans This Post Season???

Don't look now, but the Blackhawks are off to a 6-0 start...their best start to a season ever in their 85 year history. Sharks right behind them at 5-0.

How's your team doing??
Are you watching or have you ditched the NHL because of the strike??

Let's talk hockey again!

I looked. I saw. I am glad.  But not for the Rangers, my perennial team.  Bill you know I was/am a Blackhawks fan also.  But I think I am going to ride the tide of the San Jose Sharks so... off we go!

SJ was a Cup contender for a number of years, but with a few early exits in the post season, they seemed to become an afterthought the last couple of years. They're still a good team and have a Stanley Cup goalie that will always have a special place in the hearts of Chicago fans. Don't give up on those Rangers just yet!!

The Devils are off to a decent start, 3 wins and 1 o/t loss. I'm happy enough with that.

Re: No Hockey Fans This Post Season???

I have watched a bit of the Carolina Canes when it doesn't overlap with NBA ball, which isn't much. Only 5 games in they look real average again this year. It is highly entertaining though!

SJS - 6 & ZERO & ZERO....... Now that I wrote that they will lose 6 in a row.

The lockout did nothing to make me lose interest. If there was a Sharks game on Sunday I'd watch it over that bowl game.

Well there's a head to head coming up within the week. Maybe the Hawks and Sharks can stay undefeated until then...that would be a fun game to watch! Edit: Hawks/Sharks on Tuesday. I don't think both teams will still be undefeated by then...league record to start a season is 10-0.

That'll be a good one for sure.

Out of the gate the Sharks look like a very different team compared to last year. The pp and pk are both waaaay better than last year. Also, when they played Vancouver a few night ago they didn't take ANY crap. Hope they can keep it up.

Well, I may have jinxed the Blackhawks with my comment above. They lost in a shoot out that they easily could have won (Sharp rang one off the crossbar), and are now 6-0-1. I see SJ also went to a shoot out in their 7th game...with a better outcome.

SJ won game 6 in a shootout also. 2 shootout wins in a row. Both game they were pretty much outplayed but won.

Niemi (you remember him?) has been stellar so far.

Love Niemi and was very sorry to see him go. That said, Crawford has been very good so far this season.
