Can't name all the bands I've seen ... too many

My top 3 (in special order):
Ryan McGarvey, Mason Rack,  Ian Siegal (solo, with band, with Mississippi Mudbloods, with guest musician)

My favourites (in no particular order):
Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, Layla Zoe, Henrik Freischlader, Jens Filser, Aynsley Lister, Ten Years After, Cedric Burnside & Lightnin' Malcolm, Otis Taylor, Cassie Taylor, Abi Wallenstein & Blues Culture

Nice! Layla is awesome I have to agree. Should have added her to my list but she is a local girl to us and I guess we take her for granted.

I'm glad Layla is very often on tour in Europe and in Germany.
Forgot to mention another favourite Canadian: Jimmy Bowskill. Would love if he would tour more often here in Europe. He'll be on tour in Europe starting 23 January. I'll have to wait till 20 February to see him. Really looking forward to that gig.

You´re all lucky ones !
A lot of this bands/acts I don´t know and alot of bands/acts never came to Austria...
George Thorogood, for example..
Joe Bonamassa came the first time with BCC in 2011.

By the way... sorry for my english - it´s not my native language...

Hey Wolf,
I'm sure other forum members will give you a shout if some really good bands are heading toward Wien. For example, try and get to the Vienna Blues Spring on April 24th and see Ryan McGarvey. He's creating quite a "buzz" on here.

Hi Mike

Never heared of Ryan McGarvey (Shame on me).
He´s very frequent in this forum. I´ll check him on YouTube!

But a question - Where have you found this information?
The site of Vienna Blues Spring say, that the programm will be announced in Febuary!

It's a pity that you weren't around here last year to take part in the great Vienna gathering we had for the show at the Opera. See here -

As for the question you posed here, I can't even count off the top of my head, I'll see if I can make a list...if you search in this forum on Dana Fuchs you'll see who her #1 fan around here is. wink

Hi Wolf,
Often bands will announce their own tour schedules, sometimes these include festival appearances, unless the festival organisers specifically ask them not to, until a certain time.

I have a list of 20 -30 bands I regularly keep a watch on for news, but honestly, you can't beat this forum for news on new bands, old bands, tours and albums.

As for Ryan McGarvey, he has not yet played in the UK but there is a tour announced for May. We came close last year, but things fell apart. From what friends in Holland and Germany say, he's one of the most exciting, young players on the scene, so has to be worth checking out.

Hi Amsterhammer

Wasn´t in the forum, but at the Staatsoper!
Also the year before (BCC)
Highlight for me was Sloe Gin!

Lustig einen anderen Wiener hier zu "treffen"

I haven´t seen the introduction-forum, I´ll post there later...

And yes I´m a BIG Dana Fuchs Fan! Seen her at Reigen - what a ... voice.
And she´s very nice! She played "Moment Away" by request (wasn´t on the Setlist) and after the show, she signed my selfmade cover of her Rockpalast Dvd!

If you visit your hometown (for a Bona or Dana Concert) - maybe we could have a few Ottakringer or Hirter.
