Re: The Union

Thanks for the links.  First one was particularly interesting with claps being used as percussion.  Just might check out more of their stuff.

Gibson 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Reissue, Gibson LP Standard Faded CSB, Gibson Gary Moore LP Standard, Epi Joe Bonamassa GT LP, Epi Zakk Wylde LP, Dean Michael Schenker Flying V, Jackson Randy Rhoads V, ESP/LTD George Lynch Kamikaze, EVH Striped Series R/B/W, Fender/Squire John 5 Telecaster, Fender Joe Strummer Relic Telecaster

Re: The Union

Singer Peter Shoulder is from my corner of the UK, knows one of my friends that I regularly gig with. He has an awesome voice and is pretty good on a Les Paul. Team him up with the savvy of Thunder's Luke Morely and you have a really outstanding band. Looking forward to catahing them again in  at Newcastle - a "hometown" gig for Peter.

Re: The Union

I saw the Union in 2011. A rare U.S. show they opened for a Thunder reunion. Part of a Childline charity motorcycle ride thru the Canada and the U.S. The wife and myself drove cross country for 3 days to make the show. Well worth the trip. Both fantastic live bands. Had the oportunity to meet all the members of both bands afterwards. What a great group of guys.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.

Re: The Union

I learned about them - and grew to appreciate their music - by listening to Planet Rock online.

Planet Rock rocks...one of the few places I can get an occasional Sensational Alex Harvery Band fix.

Re: The Union

Glad to see the new album's going down well.  It has quality throughout, and having heard the band in rehearsals recently I can say the new songs sound even better live.

The tour starts Wednesday and if you haven't got a ticket yet I encourage you to do so.  They are well worth coming to see.
